How to quit my job? Been here <6 months, I’m the midst of building the team, recently made offers to bring new talent to join my team, finalized 2022 strategy. There is so much going on and the timing couldn’t be worse to quit. I realized I’m really bored of my current job and just not enjoying the function. I was offered a role from a startup to join them and I want to take it. How do I bring this up to my manager (head of dept)? He was counting on me and my team to deliver a lot this quarter

Worst feeling is when your amazing manager leaves after hiring you.

Family law associate. I run a docket of about 40-50 cases and work about 50 hours a week. I currently make about 125K (self-employed, no benefits). Between jury trials for CPS termination cases and the highly adversarial nature of family law, I find this job to be incredibly draining, as I have horrid work/life balance and struggle with constant anxiety.

I recently got an offer with a personal injury firm. 110K, full benefits, for a non-litigation/docket manager role. Thoughts?

2nd year manager at KPMG strategy current at $205k base (w/ top 10 MBA & 7 yoe). Offered $215k base 10% bonus for a Transformation Director position with a PE backed fintech. WLB is fantastic. Company positioned to go public in 1-2 years or be sold. Should I wait to see if I make director this year at KPMG or jump now? (I have 2 kids under 4 and wife is big law attorney so WLB is key)

Hey Guys. Hoping to get some advice here. I am currently a Senior Manager at CapTech with 12 YOE, all in consulting. I have been with CapTech specifically for 7 years doing a bunch of different things from developing ETL pipelines to analytics and dashboarding. My most recent role was more in product analytics where I feel like I have really grown from ‘just a BI developer’ to a data product owner like role. Right now my base is at 130K. Looking at data on Glassdoor this seems low. Thoughts?

Initially was referred for Strategy& manager and just got off the phone with the recruiter. Recruiter forwarded my S& contact to have me apply for PWC manager role when I clearly stated i was only interested in S& based on my current compensation and background.
Dont know if it is just a generic PWC manager role I was asked to apply or should i be concerned?

I just got a reach out about building bots for the AI/Cognitive and according to the recruiter they're dumping massive cash into it. From what I hear about WLB it doesn't seem worth it to me (<40 hour work weeks are just fine with me with intellectual leverage making it sustainable), but still want to get some data as to expected comp if I negotiate a leadership/manager position and build the team to see if it scales with my time/effort. Any thoughts?

Offer: TC of $247k (185 base, 20% bonus, 25k/year RSU). Title bump from current role. Company is a retail company just outside F500 that is well known. Good WLB and manager is a former manager that my SO likes a lot. Work would be more interesting than current role.

Current role: TC of $180k (150 base, 30k/year RSU). E-commerce company that is just inside the Fortune 500. WLB is fluctuates a lot and toxic culture and colleagues.

Idk what to do. Manager position at Deloitte in high net worth private client services or go into corporate - blue cross blue shield tax manager making 130k in low cost of living Place. Mom of 3 kids and husband is a doctor what would you do? To me it sounds like blue cross doesn’t have any downtime during the year so for flexibility public accounting is probably better I am guessing. I currently work at EY as a senior about to be promoted to manager in the next couple months.
