I just want to feel better that I'm not making a bad decision and would it be better to stay the rest of my busy season and keep trying my CPA but at the cost of my mental health? Also would like to know if my salary is terrible as is?

Currently working in account management and it's not my thing. I want to move into strategy, but had no luck with jr strat roles. I got an offer as a project manager, and am really interested in the work plus it plays to my skills. Should I take the offer and get out of my current position, or stick it out until the perfect strat offer comes around?

I'm interviewing for a project manager position at a place that provides support for a prominent Bay Area tech company. I was approached by a recruiter from Planet Technology. The role is a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

What's the minimum hourly wage I'd need to make in order to live comfortably and afford health insurance in San Jose? I'm 30 years old w/out kids. My husband is currently unemployed so this is assuming that I'm supporting us both.

Applied for a consulting manager job and l lowballed myself (PANICKED) when they asked my salary expectation during the interview (I said 130+ but I should have said 160-180). How can I fix it once I receive the offer? Can I say “after researching the market and hearing more about the position I wouldn’t make a switch for less than 170”? Or how else would you frame it? I don’t feel pressured to switch jobs just exploring the market. Thanks!!

Hey y’all need help evaluating and gathering ideas for a counter offer. For context I’m a manager 8 YOE at mid tier not big 4, but top 10) firm doing digital transformation consulting. Got an offer from a start up (series D, unicorn)

Role: enterprise architecture
Base: $155k
Equity: $50k over 4 years (1 year Cliff at 25%)
401k: no match

This brings TC to $167.5k per year which feels low to me as I was expecting much closer to $200k for TC. I’m ok with the base but equity seems low. Thoughts?

United Healthcare fishes, does anyone have any salary insight to Manager of Data Analytics? I’m interviewing next week with a recruiter and compensation will come up. I also would like to ask how to approach this one additional issue. Seeing as it’s the end of January, if they’re looking to fill the role prior to March, it would mean I walk away from my current employer’s bonus which pays out in the 2nd week of March. I’m expecting $20k. How do I go about asking for a one time starting bonus?

Got reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn, and set up a call to talk about the position. We talked on Tuesday and the call seemed to go very well. She said she would follow up by sending me the job posting to look at more in depth and confirm with the hiring manager that my salary requirements fit the position. I followed up thanking her for her time and expressing my excitement about the opportunity but still haven’t heard anything from her after our call.

However, it won’t go official until early March- I am in the last stage in getting a competing offer- the thing is they’re offering me a senior level too. I’m pushing for a manager level as I have the experiences and the career progression at my current company is different from other firms. The recruiter is saying it’s two levels up from my current role- any thoughts on how I can push more?

Experienced hire Manager here, informed before Christmas that I’ll be taking another lap but not because of performance (5/5 on scats and all operating at next level) or metrics (22mm in MR) but the only reason is I need more time in the “saddle”… During this time, I’ve been replying to recruiters and after a PPMD interview last week, I was offered an SM role at a smaller firm with a base pay increase of 45% (225k) over my current salary. Dear recruiters, if you don’t know anything about the job you are trying to fill, just say so. No need to require 5 years experience only for the hiring manager to notice the new hire is stuck in their old ways… soon there will be no mortgage underwriters because everyone requires them to have 5+ years of experience. Find the right people to train and coach.

I repatriated to home country in 2021 and trying to come back to US in this year. I have exactly one year left on H1B to max out. My company filed PERM and it got approved while I am in home country but I have rejected to file I140 since I am now eligible for multi national manager role. Need advise on what are my chances on getting EB1C with in a year. Any hick ups that I can come across and suggestion that you have. My PERM is expired already.

I am an expert path associate at McKinsey with 1.5 YOE + 6 YOE prior to McK. Expected 2022 TC = 200k base + 50-70k bonus. How should I position myself for (Sr) Director level jobs given my current tenure?
