Whats the average severance package when folks get laid off?

Folks that has been laid off recently mainly due to Covid19, how was your severance package?

Most likely will be laid off next month. Such a sinking feeling because you know it’s coming but leadership doesn’t have the backbone to give a clear answer. This is a tough pill to swallow.

my mom is an independent contractor and she’s probably about to be laid off... can she ask for anything?

I need advice. I’m on a project and I just don’t know what to do. My 2 SMs keep yelling at me & my anxiety is crazy I’ve gone to the MD and he does nothing, sometimes joins in. Deloitte’s rep in the market should go down. Layoff off people in the peak of a pandemic with social unrest is not okay. they couldn’t hold a month longer?

Big Four consultants, what is your firm’s policy for this year on promotions, raises, bonuses, layoffs? At PwC there’s a freeze on raises, minimal promotions and smaller bonuses. Pay-cut for partners. No layoffs, at least in the near future.

If Deloitte is doing 5% layoffs then does that mean bonuses and raises will be kept?

I'm 38, burned out from consulting for 15 yrs...have no debt (own my home/no mortgage) and enough savings to live on for ~4 years. Is it stupid to quit and freelance for a bit? Wrong to hope I get laid-off?

Asking your opinion: can anyone of these victims of police brutality that we have seen during protests, including press, file a lawsuit against those fired police officers and state or county for extremely high amount (say multiple billion dollars)? I believe that when money gets involved, all these officers and elected officials will get in line. I would love to see at least one judgement being passed against these police officers making them pay millions of dollars to the victims.

Would you rather A) Get a bonus this year and have more people laid off, or B) No bonus this year, but less people laid off?
