Hello there! I have been interviewing with Amazon for L6 Sr. UX Designer role. I want to understand what’s the salary range I should be negotiating for that role. I have no clue what big company like amazon and Facebook pays for someone with 10 years of experience. Any help and pointer will help me with the negotiation. Thank you.

I have just recently accepted a position as Director of Compliance at a Fin-Tech company here in Naples, FL.. My previous 17 YOE were strictly in the Financial industry. 6th year - over 2000 hours, great review last year, this year they said will not promote me. They will do a mid year review early next year and if still no good, will discuss “transition” plan. My mentors (partner & senior) have scheduled a feedback meeting with me on Wednesday. It’s not just me, they’re scheduling meetings with everyone so I’m probably keeping my job. Thoughts on recording meetings. In Texas and have ADHD. I’ve been recording internal meetings for the past couple of weeks and my work product has improved exponentially. I’m able to go back and listen to the directions over again. In law school I had a note that gave me permission to do this. Is this taboo in a firm?

Worst luck ever. My group was very slow from Jan through may, so I won’t hit my hours, but am now (and will continue to be) very busy…. About to do 1990 hrs the most painful way possible. Fml.

What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?

The NEP has a book of business, though no idea how much it brings in.
