Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

ACD1 - Interview process isn't as rigorous for creatives in that you're not given tests to pass like engineers (thank god). However it does take a while as you're forced to meet a lot of people. 3 months of interviews before an offer is common.
CW1 - Like agencies, they hire based on need. I'd say there might be more designers/ADs, but not by a large margin.
I have friends at Brand Studio who love it, so I'm not sure what CD1 is referring to specifically. Like any place, YMMV.
Strategist1- There is an adjustment curve, especially if you've only worked at agencies (like I had). Grappling with the sheer size of this place takes a while. But your team will generally be small, and that becomes your world and over time makes the place more digestible. Some people talk about "imposter syndrome" in the beginning as you're surrounded by "genius" engineers who are the rockstars here, but I think this is largely exaggerated. Especially when you realize engineers are super skilled in one discipline but when it comes to explaining their products to the world in a compelling way, they're largely clueless. Which is where you come in.
Sorry I missed yours. There's no formula for what needs to be in your book really. Just great work you're proud of. I'd just start applying for AD/designer roles on the Google career page like crazy. Also LinkedIn is your friend for any connections you might have here.
Generally it's a nice place to work full of smart people. I'm learning a lot, particularly on the digital side (my work before was 90% TV). Basically your day-to-day depends largely on what group you're in. You will likely be building "digital experiences" and doing branded content stuff. There is no client to answer to or stress about because you are your own client in most respsects. That has a nice affect on work/life balance as there are no new biz pitches or all-night creative gangbangs (the office clears out around 4:30 lol). Ultimaltely, as seductive as the perks and free food are, make sure to ask a lot of questions and use your interviews to confirm your prospective boss is someone you truly admire and want to learn from.
If you have any other specifics questions I didn't answer, feel free to ask!
CD1, what’s the best department for creatives?
Google1, you are super helpful and very kind. Hugs!
Google 1, if you work there it must be alright
Which team? I LOVE Xanthe, the ECD. She's one of the good ones.
Oo curious about the team/project. Keep us posted!
@google that seems like the dream. How can I be on your team? What needs to be in my book to apply for your team? What do you guys look for in a book? I have more TV/Broadcast work and starting to do more digital work
I would ask how have other agency types have adjusted to the culture at google.
It's awesome, as long as it's not Google Brand Studio.
Wait, what’s wrong with google brand studio?
Is the interview process for creatives as rigorous as it is for developers?
Do they hire more art directors? I feel like I don’t see many copywriter jobs
@google can you provide answers to me too?😊
@google for sure. Thank you!
Brand studio!
