Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.
Nagarro
Hi I got selected in Nagarro i.e. I cleared all the tech rounds but now HR is saying there is no vacancy , they are saying as soon as there is a vacancy they will give me an offer and asked me to wait until then. My tech stack is. java backend . Yoe - 2years. What should i do ? I want to join Nagarro, I resigned based on my Nagarro interview result also I hated TCS, hoping HR would call me in week . Pls guide me ? Why do these companies keep interviews when they don’t have vacancy?

Yes. I always have the student call. We either do it from my desk or go out to the hall and use their cell phone.
They call and explain what they did & consequence, usually get chewed out, and then I talk to the parent to wrap it up, if needed.
HSET1, none at all. We wait until the kids are working independently to make phone calls. I just tell the kid, "We're calling home when I'm done teaching." They might groan or act frustrated, but its usually fine then. If they cause a distraction after that, I just send them to the office.
Yes, I do, but I write out a script detailing exactly what happened before they call. I have had to many times where the kid gets on there and either straight up lies or says "I don't know why I am calling." Parents rightfully do not want to be disrupted during work and it does have more impact if it the child calls.
My script is just what I would say to the parent, I just make the student say it. It changes with every situation. Everything they have to say happened in front of the entire class, so I have 30 witness if they want to try to claim coercion. I have had kids refuse to call, and I give them a choice of calling or getting a referral. A phone call will happen either way.
We are not allowed to make calls during class time, so if a student disrupts my class, I text the parent even as the student is misbehaving, I usually get a return text from the parent for the student( I let him or her read the correspondence from the parent.). If the parent is really concerned, he or she will call me in response. I ALWAYS answer those calls because I have found that the policy results in fewer calls to other parents; the word spreads. “If you don’t want her to call your mama, you better act like you got some home training when you’re in her class.”
Works for me.
It totally works in elementary as the parent hears what we see as a defiant student turn into a bubbling crying baby. It also helps parents to actually hear the students admission before that student goes home. In elementary it’s often a back and forth because I often can’t understand the student through the crying so I rely on the parent for interpretation. I found it to be Highly effective.
I also talk to the parent first and set it up by stating, I have Jonny with me, he needs to talk to you. Boom. Johnnys on the phone. I use speaker phone in my office so that the student can’t refuse to take the receiver. I have 3 sons. I know the tricks lol

A few years ago we were told we were not allowed to have the kid call home from the class. It only helped for the short term anyway. Frequent flyers are, well, frequent flyers.
