At my uncles wedding in Madrid I remember lying down on the grass in the courtyard after their first dance and crying, my Dad came and saw me, laid down in his suit beside me and asked what was wrong.

And we just lay there as I cried, and then got up. Had a drink.

Said boyfriend left years ago, and now I have a wonderful man who just asked me what type of dance lessons I want for our wedding next year.

I cringe when I'm at a friend's house and they answer their phone, find out it's a telemarketer, and just hang up on them. It's so rude. They know I have to cold-call people at my job and you'd think they would at least act like they were more respectful of the job.

Did you seek out new friends or just change the way you hung out with existing ones

Nothing used to make me happier than my end of work cocktail on Friday evening. I’ve been replacing it with soda for the last few months but that’s getting old / isn’t an exciting way to mark the transition to weekend. What do you drink on Friday nights?
