Been looking to get out of SE. I work for an AI hardware company. What are my alternatives? Been a SE for 3 years.

I’m 37 and I didn’t get nominated for PCEC (mckinsey partner election). Should I give it another year knowing that it generally takes 2 election cycles and I won’t be a partner until I’m 39? Do I explore exits in a recessionary economy? Or praise Christ, go to church more, and suck up my ego because I still have a shot and haven’t been CTLd? How much worse are my exit ops as an AP and how would that look with 2 years later?

Anyone else have a M.S and barely making over $20/hr in the healthcare industry? Smh, debating on a career change.

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role. Can anyone provide any advice, or has anyone successfully moved away from sales?

Looking to do a career pivot into VC. Have 12+ years of B2B tech marketing experience with IBM, Google, Deloitte and a number of startups. Have skills in messaging, product launches, and sales and enjoy diving deep on my personal investments (all public companies beyond a few RSUs). Have an MBA in the back pocket too. My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now?
