Best headphones for loud surroundings? At our office, we all have calls at the same time. It's really annoying for both me and the customers. They should eliminate the surrounding sound for me but also filter it for the customer.

I use either a wired Plantronics (Poly) Blackwire 5210, or a Wireless Plantronics (Poly) Voyager Focus. Granted, I work from home, so not a hugely noisy office environment, but I do have other background noises to contend with.

Honestly, my airpods are the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever had. Cliche to recommend Apple I guess, but they're definitely worth it

Jlab makes the best headsets I have ever used. JLab

I recently purchased a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II headphones and I'm very pleased with them. They are noise-canceling headphones, so they do an excellent job of filtering out the loud noises from the surrounding environment. Plus, they are very comfortable and provide great sound quality. So, if you're looking for headphones that can block out loud surroundings, I highly recommend it!

What is your understanding of the norms around whose names end up on a brief/complaint/motion papers etc.? I’m a midlevel at an AmLaw 20 firm and have twice been the principal drafter of something only to be cut from the signature block. The associate senior to me is on it despite having done far less of the work. And it’s not because it required a rewrite or something. The filed product is 80-90% my work. Am I wrong to be pissed off about this?

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
