No but I had an interview on Friday and they said they'd crunch some numbers and send me an offer in a few hours and then it never came 🤣🤣🤣🥲
Yep. Only took a couple of weeks to find a new job with a promotion. See ya.
Yes, here’s a good one - I got a salary increase that would normally be associated with a promotion but was told that the company could not change my title. I literally received a letter from HR congratulating me on my promotion - to the same job title I have held for the past two years - and identifying a new salary tied to this “promotion.” You can’t make this stuff up.
Yeah
No. I left in house and went back into big law, doubled my base salary. So, that’s feels awesome lol
I’ll only get a 1% raise this year, just like last year. My health care premiums are going up, so it’s basically a salary decreases
That’s frustrating
Yes in England this happens a lot to white people because employers are obsessed with DEI. They will literally hire incompetent people to tick a box and 'look good'. Unfair to white people (but bizarrely legal, its called positive discrimination) and insulting to ethnics because it creates a whiff of suspicion and inferiority even if they're legitimately talented and deserving of the job. Standards in the profession have dropped notably in recent years.
I changed jobs this summer and went from Associate Director level to Director level. I was told at my last company that I would not be promoted for at least 2 years.
Start looking. Was PIPed last year, wasnt given a raise, beat said PIP with glowing reviews, and was fired out of nowhere this fall when the work slowed. Even if you beat expectations, theyve made it clear how they feel about you
I know this has happened to several people
