Do you ever wish you could just go home at 6, play with your kids till they fall asleep, and then have a glass of wine with your wife before an early bedtime & sleep 8 hours?

You can. It’s called “having boundaries.”

likehelpfulfunny

Some of you people act like it’s just so easy for everyone to do this if they want to and like this person is making the choice to not have time for their family. Not everyone’s work places are flexible or understanding and not everyone is in a position to just leave their job and find a new one or move if they’re unhappy with it. So just let them vent and be sympathetic that they aren’t as lucky as you

likehelpful

The thing is nothing will change if this person doesn’t speak up for themselves. And when nothing changes, go higher up the chain. If nothing happens then, it’s time to seek another job. This person is obviously desirable or they wouldn’t be working their tails off or hired in the first place so it’s possible to find another job. If spending time with your family is important to you, you need to speak up. If there is retribution due to speaking up, then this person is working on a terrible team. Bottom line.

Hi guys

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

Been seeing a guy for a few months now and I can’t stop myself from getting in my head. I’ve never been in a solid relationship before like this and I’m afraid I’m going to mess it up. We’re together most nights and some nights I need a night off or some space, but when I don’t hear from him I get paranoid that I did something.
I don’t know how to just let things be and feel we’re as good as I know we are.

Confession: The only in-law that I had a great relationship with passed away unexpectedly. The two remaining in-laws were on thin ice with me prior due to years of drama, nagging, and disgusting display of wealth. I believe their demand of money and general assholish behavior drove in law to his death. I love my S.O. but I can’t deal with the drama anymore.

I want to have a family and a future that is drama-free and full of love and don’t want to surround myself with negativity.

Let’s say you have two young, high income partners in a couple who want to buy a house together but don’t really care to get married. They already live together in an apartment but both want to move to a house to build equity and have a yard, not share walls, etc. Should one partner buy the house and the other pays rent until they get married, or should they get a mortgage together without being married? I realize there isn’t a “right” answer but I’m interested in people’s experiences here.
