Do you meet with a dr regularly if your prescription is stable? I was diagnosed about 9 months ago and have been regularly meeting with a psychiatrist to review and adjust a prescription. I found a medication / dose that seems to be relatively helpful and wondering if I should still be meeting with the dr regularly or if a message checkin / request for a refill is normal.

Yes. Doctors are required to meet with patients at regular intervals since most ADD/ADHD meds at controlled substances. I'm 45yo and I've been on the same medication and dose for 5+years and I see my doctor every 3 months. Some doctors will also require a urine test at regular intervals or even at random times to ensure you're taking your medication and not just selling it.

Yes. I’ve been on the same medication for over 15 years. I take it consistently. I still have to see a doctor every month.

Yes, I see my doctor every three months, virtual appointments except once a year when I have to go in person.

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I’ve been trying vitamin D and working out, but it makes my “highs” and “low” SO extreme. The simplest things are so complex in my mind.

If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)
