Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

I ran into that at a previous company. People who said they needed to review everything before I launched the training were always booked solid. Yes, and yes. Systems seek stability, equilibrium…self-preservation. L&D threatens that stability because in the process of performance improvement, we change dynamics in the workplace. That can be threatening to those who hold either formal or informal power. It is especially threatening to those who hold power and are incompetent.
Two resources for you: The Power of Adaptive Leadership by Ron Heifitz, Marty Linsky, and Alexander Grashow. Reframing Organizations by Lee Bolman and Terry Deal. They aren’t prescriptive—no advice on how to make your leadership feel less threatened. But there is lots of wisdom as relates to systems and why they get stuck where they are.
