Is the PERM requirement for bachelors degree + 5 YOE transferable? i.e. if I were to go a different firm would they be able to start the process if the 5 YOE has been completed?
The last couple of jobs I've been at were less than 1 year. One was 11 months and the other 9 months. Can I tell people they were contract positions?
I’ve saved 110k as a home down payment in a savings account but now thinking I will not buy a home for at least a couple years (not ready to move to burbs, rent is cheaper, prices skyrocketing) and want to invest most of this money. Should I just dump into an s&p fund?
Hi work in Michigan as a NHA. Left a large company because if no growth for another one who claimed that did been there 15m and want out seems like it’s the same all over? This is only my second job in my entire life
How far out did you send out wedding invitations and how many weeks did you require rsvp prior the wedding?
Any attorneys here with ADHD/ADD? I was recently diagnosed ADHD, but it was clear I had it my whole life. It did not materially hinder me until law school, and now it’s pretty debilitating as an associate. Since I have been medicated, some executive functioning has been better but it’s really hit or miss. Anyone have any success stories? Would in-house be easier to manage as there is less executive functioning (ie no timekeeping and billing)? I appreciate any response in advance. Thanks!
Any book recos for creatives/writers?
Has anyone joined TCS Hyderabad recently? Is it inprerson or virtual?
Do we have choice to select the campus if wfo mode is mandatory?
Thanks in advance!
Recs for shoes with a wide toe box? I normally wear pointy toe Rothys but I'm getting bunions 😔
A few questions re: KKR Global Impact:
- How does their diligence process differ from traditional KKR?
- Treated as "2nd-class citizens" within the firm?
- Would a diligence team have some impact members and some core PE members to run different parts of the DD?
I work at a public tech company and have been here for ~6 months. I execute SaaS implementations/deployments. Our products are not up to par w/ customer expectations. The Chief Product Officer has decided that the deployments teams will be conducting additional gap analysis to understand product requirements more completely.
I have joined TCS last year Feb under BPS( BSC Computers), doing the work in IT project. But i am getting the salary for BPS role even after the one year anniversary literally no change in my in-hand salary.
When I have asked my team manager to convert me to IT role from BPS role she is avoiding the topic ( tried asking 3 times). Also 70% of my senior team members moved out, so work pressure is also increasing.
I thinking of asking for project release. How can I proceed with the this?
I am currently a Federal employee working for the DoD in San Diego CA, I am looking for new opportunities not just federal positions but in the private sector as well. I hold an active Secret Clearance and have experience in Supply Chain Analysis, Supply and Inventory Planning, Logistics Management as well as Office Administration. If anybody knows of current openings or can help with a referral or any suggestions is greatly appreciated. ♥️
Early 40s super happily married male with two lovely kids and stable from a career and financial perspective. However, our intimacy has taken a real dip in last 2 years. And it does not help that she is particularly attractive for a lady her age. Absolutely love her to death with or without the intimacy but it would be nice to have some of it back. I know women go through a lot as they grow older so don’t want to be selfish and unsupportive but any advice, particularly from my desi lady fish?
Additional Posts in New Business. The good, the bad, the ugly.
I’ve had bad experiences with New Business hired in the past. As in, nothing happened over 6-12 month periods bad. My agency (independent national player with Fortune 500 clients) is asking me to help search for a dedicated resource to business development. What should I be looking for and what should the agency’s expectations be? Thank you!
I’ve been working on a pitch that continues to get delayed and it’s poorly managed. The RFI was due in July. Then days AFTER submission I received an email from the consultant saying we now had until August. End of September rolls around and frankly I had forgotten about this 100-page beast. They want a meet and greet….the following week. The day before the meet and greet we get a list of questions (that aren’t easy softballs). Now 2 weeks later and nothing. What a gross feeling this process is
Hey! First timer. I’m moving over into biz dev and am trying to get a better handle on how you all do this thing!
Is there anything you wish you knew earlier on? Any tips for this new comer is very appreciated
Hello! Curious if anyone has any thoughts on new year new business resolutions. Maybe it’s the fact that 2020 sucks but I’m already planning for the new year. I’m going to try and schedule time better for outreach and social media marketing. I tend to be too reactionary with my time.
Anybody care to share tactics for negotiating rates with procurement? Know they’re bluffing to drive all competing agencies down, but not sure what leverage we have to push back.
What is working for people to drive intro meeting opportunity. ? How are you breaking thru and getting someone to agree to an exploratory meeting?
10 days to turn around a RFP.
Agency: request schedule Q&A session
Client: Let me check schedules. Wednesday next week works for our team... (day 6 of RFP) 🤦♂️
We've focused on networking and self promotion through a monthly newsletter for our new business process; sprinkled in with a tiny bit of RFPs. We're considering doing a mailing to targets. Thoughts?
Quick Q - how are your comp plans structured ? Not the amounts but more how do you handle recognizing revenue of multi year deals?
I find myself looking for a new role in agency / production company biz dev. I co-founded a creative production agency back in 2010. Grew it to a staff of 80 FTE, creating strategic content-driven campaigns for brands, tv networks, streamers, platforms, publishers etc. We developed and produced original TV as well. Around 2016 we positioned the company for sale and then sold in Jan 2019. After going over to the acquirer in 2020, I’m now free for the first time in a long time. What to do?
Hi all! Just introducing myself. I’ve become a Bowl Leader here in the new biz bowl. Looking forward to it! This bowl helped me tremendously when I switched from prod co sales to full service agency biz dev. Great group! I’m now biz dev director for a production/post/animation facility. Please comment with a bit about you and your role. Thanks!
Hi all! First : shout out to the folks who sold the super bowl clients! Question for all. What tools are you using for biz dev? For finding clients specifically. We are a video production house so our needs may be different but we want to grow direct to client work as well. I know of winmo, agency access and agency source. Any other online tools you are using? Thanks!
Anyone here have any advice for outsourcing new business? We’re an 18month old, busy design consultancy. I’m getting tied up in delivering the work and the pipeline suffers.
What is the pandemic version of "let's grab coffee". as a biz dev person I am struggling with how to make that initial connection. I offer up calls and/or zooms. Let us know if you have a good tip on how to break the ice with new biz/ get new potential clients interested.
Fishies, I am hiring a partner in crime to help me introduce PETERMAYER to the national stage. This isn't your typical biz dev role - it's designed to be a hybrid/cross-discipline role for someone who wants to use their full creative, strategic brain and most definitely NOT stay in their lane. Know anyone that sounds like that, send them my way! (Agency is full-time flex/hybrid, but a desire to be NOLA-based is strongly preferred; however remote may be negotiable.)
