Very nice!! I’m cooking as well and the weather is perfect here too!

Happy Father's Day to you as well! We are heading to the park later for some hotdogs and hamburgers with a few of our friends. Nothing says thanks for being a great dad quite like food!

Happy Father's Day! It's a 10hr train ride to visit my Dad, so I decided against it this year. I am regretting it something awful today! I'll have to plan a trip soon and make it up to him.

Happy Father's Day! No grilling for me today, but we did order carry out from my favorite Thai place which was awesome. Followed that up by hitting the pool with the kids, mowing the yard (push mowing, naturally), and now we're running out to grab ice cream before putting the munchkins to bed. It's been a perfect day.

Has anyone else talked to a doctor about stress while trying to conceive? I’ve been having a really hard time wanting a baby for the way my husband and I have been arguing or talking to each other. Do you think our anxiety or tension is because we have not been able to conceive?

Citi how’s the parental leave at Citi, for both men and women? Do people take all of it or what the perception how management see it especially for men Citi

Is anyone concerned the push for sexual equality in pay without accordant leveling of parental leave is gonna backfire?

Here’s a hypothetical:

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

Company considers the woman a riskier bet due to possibility she’ll take maternity leave — and considers the man less risky for his ineligibility to take as much leave. 🤷

Tomorrow they are requiring masks again and I was almost in tears when I found out. We have been mask free (recommended) since June and I feel like we are being muzzled again. I am vaccinated, frustrated, and have been off of antidepressants since March. I don’t even want to go into work tomorrow. Anything is better than being virtual and I am trying to look at the bright side, but moving backward still burns. We have parent-teacher conferences coming up and I am hoping that it’s temporary.

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I would be making much less than I do now, but it is a dream company.
