Your employer would never find out. I would say something along the lines of “I was not actively looking but happy to have a chat”

Just ask them about the position details and range. They can be mindful that you may have referrals for them

Awesome! Thanks gusy

Always be interviewing, keeps you sharp and on top of options out there. That said and assuming this is your first job I’d recommend staying ~2 years regardless. (Unless for some reason you have some opportunity that is truly exceptional- but these types of jobs are common with consulting background).

What’s general turnaround time from final candidate interview to decision / offer? Friend I referred for a SD role has gone through the process (2 Partner interviews, 1 SD interview) with the last interview occurring about two weeks ago. She hasn’t heard anything from HR and HR hasn’t responded to her emails asking on status. Not sure if that’s par for the course or an indication she got dinged.

What should I do. I have heard that KGS gives decent hikes and bonus payouts however the work is completely backend with limited customer interaction and limited good quality. Looking for advice on the next step. So I started at my company just over 2 years ago as an entry level Sales admin with a split role and at the beginning of this year I moved fully into Sales Support and I'm kind of at a point where I coordinate and support the activity of my team, I fully process all orders and manage/maintain our CRM system, provide monthly & quarterly reports for our senior management team. Is this it? Am I at the top end of this role and need to ask for more progression?

For those that exited to Google but were targeting a specific domain (ex: PM/ Biz Ops - Partnerships/ Chrome/ Social/ Non Profit etc): Did you target the broader business role first (PM/ Biz Ops)? Or the domain (Partnerships/ Chrome/ Social/ Non Profit etc)? Assume educational background and work experience in domain coupled with general consulting skills.

Had many rounds for role in a tech company that I did not end up getting. The hiring manager mentioned that there were more roles in his org and he would be reaching out if the role I applied does not work out. Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?
