Hi mates
Invested first time in elss this March.
Unlucky markets are falling now.
Returns now are - 10%.
Should I wait for time to pass. As it would recover over 3 years lock-in?

Equities should be considered for long term goals specifically, with an investment horizon of atleast 7 years.

One thing i have learnt in last 10 years in market, you can guess but nobody can predict market, don’t worry, continue with your investment, in fact if you have some extra cash, this is right time to invest. i have also invested around 3L in last 2 months and negative for those invested amount. But don’t worry, It will recover for sure,

If you’re new, to deal with this kind of situation, Instead of investing lumsum, go with SIP approach and you don’t have to worry about market up or down

Mutual funds are for long term. Don't believe otherwise. For short term (risky) gains, you have instruments like stock intraday, F&O trading & invoice discouting

Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Never dealt with this before, so wanted to ask if anyone has ever had an instance where the insurance didn't cover the outstanding balance of the loan and the insured then owed money? Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.

Hello, folks! I wonder if you have any advice/info for a person who is looking for an "investment associate" role in Dubai. I have a financial audit background (4 years Big-4), 1,5 year in deal advisory (half year financial due diligence department, 1 year valuation department). I have experience in TMT, retail, Energy and Utility and other industries. Currently I'm living in Eastern Europe.
What is considered to be normal in relation to WBL, compensations in Dubai for such role or similar?

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.
