Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

I went from being a sales manager in car dealerships to a sales manager in tech sales for the last 3 years. I had no technical knowledge and showed my understanding of the sales process and ability to get the best out of teams. I'm now an individual contributor again because the earning potential is more than a SM in tech, As an IC that's when you need to start to learn product specific knowledge and become a bit more technical. Having said that you do pick up the techy language as you go along.
You need to understand relevant business processes, key contact job role responsibilities, cross-functional department synergies, etc..
The technology itself you need to have a decent understanding of, but by no means do you have to be an expert. Plenty of SMEs and SCs at major tech companies to handle the complex technical side of things.
