How do you know when a culture issue is actually a leadership issue?

For us it’s usually when the same concerns show up across multiple teams.

When the culture is toxic and a hinderance to the growth of the organization and management disregards it. If you’re constantly having problems and people are complaining, morale is down. The manager is feeding the negativity instead of finding the solution.

I think that is usually the giveaway. When the same concerns appear across different teams, departments, or surveys, it often points to a leadership or organisational issue rather than an isolated culture problem.

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. I wish the worst part about it was the amount of work, rather than the completely toxic culture, lack of appreciation, arbitrary and back/breaking deadlines, lack of mentorship/feedback/training, and the fact that the associates act like they don’t even know each other. I cry every day and constantly am made to feel stupid for not understanding the highly technical (cont.)

Is this the standard at McK? I'm trying to guage the staffing optionality and openness of McKinsey culture to direct your random walk.
