How do you tell your boss that she has too many non-work long conversations that get too loud with boisterous laughter and distracts those of us outside of her office trying to work?

I thought of texting her and saying:
“Can you please close your door whenever K*** and K***** are in your office chatting?”

That's as nice as I’ve gotten so far.
It started as:
“Hey, loudmouths, some of us actually have work to do, and you're annoying us!!!”

Don’t make it a huge deal and don’t be a jerk about it, just pop in next time she’s chit chatting and say “hey mind if I close your door? I’m in the zone and trying to focus!”

Maybe just ask to move to a quieter area due to nature of technical writing requiring intense focus and no distraction.

That is sad, it can be horrible for people with sound sensitivity. This person is really disrespectful. I imagine remote is not possible either. The only thing to do is headphones, big comfy obvious ones.

Does anyone know Tiktok's return to office plan?

Is there anyone going back full time? If so, when? Curious to hear thoughts on that if you are returning to the office 5x per week

Thanks for this bowl, Bowl Leader! Anyone hear any news within Accenture?

Thanks to everyone who joined! If anyone has any idea of their company’s return to office plans feel free to share, along with your city/location :)

Just got return to office email. People can start coming in 6/1 but still limited access. Seems like September will be a more official return. They’ve said 75% of us will remain hybrid wfh/in office after that (NYC)

My company announced a hybrid plan starting in September (1-3 days per week in the office). Did anyone else’s company announce a hybrid plan?

Can the hybrid model actually work?

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?

Returning June 1, likely 2-3 days/wk. Houston, TX.

September with extreme flexibility at first. Schedule and seating set-up TBD. Local gov and case count will also be factors. Washington DC.

Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. What’s Omnicom’s policy on returning to office? Being told mandatory hybrid system will be implemented from Oct 4.

Hi everyone! I’m an EA for a Property Management company, I wanted to get your opinion on a situation. We have an office manager, who is in charge of greeting clients and anybody who walks through the doors, returning of keys, etc., our office manager wants to work a hybrid schedule and we are not opposed to it as long as we can ensure client satisfaction and that the office is orderly. Has anybody been able to make this work?

Saw on LinkedIn that Georgia Pacific is letting vaccinated people return too the office now and soon will let all back who want to be - but if you are unvaccinated you must wear a mask and keep certain distance from others. Unsure of all of the details of that.
