How hard was the prosci certification exam for you? (I know, significantly easier than CPA, etc). Wondering because I’m pretty bad at test taking.

It’s easy. That’s all I’m gonna say without sharing all the obvious secrets that come out of the certification/workshop process you go through. You can’t fail...unless you just aren’t engaged and actually present in the workshops.

like

No studying required. I would be shocked if there was a failure rate. Which is one reason experienced change practitioners don’t value the prosci as proof of knowledge/ experience.

like

You literally can’t fail

Not fair to call it a garbage cert. Prosci offers some fundamental key concepts that any change practitioner should understand and learn (ADKAR). How you apply those concepts (ie, experience) to meet your specific approach for your clients is the secret sauce. Is it a cert comparable to SPHR, PMP, CCMP, etc? No. But those certs are also entirely different.

Let's say I can't get a product or marketing job in tech, but I could get in via sales or customer success. Does working in those roles pigeonhole you, or is it easy to switch later? If you take a job as a customer success mgr for ads, or as a partnership mgr for learning solutions for industry X, are you going to get stuck in those products (ads, learning solutions), roles (CS, sales/partnerships), or target industry (X)?

It would be really helpful to get your guidance on further course of action.

I'm at a smaller MM bank. My original goal was to start here and hustle through into a BB, but I wasn't expecting to really like the people (my team, my direct seniors). I think the work we do probably wouldn't differ a crazy amount (we close deals, just smaller of course) and I'm wondering if I really have a reason to try to move into a bigger bank.
