How much of your PTO do you typically use in a year? I get 3 weeks and have only used one each of the past three years. I don't have plans that require me to take time off so I just don't think to use it. I know I'm basically throwing money away like this.

Take the time. It’s not about the money; live your life. Have an adventure. Pursue an interest. Develop a hobby. When you look back later, you will be glad you did.

I get 5 weeks and I also buy a week I use it all sometimes you need a break to live life even it’s is just to lay around in your rec room with mocktails and snacks for a week straight

I get 30 days plus 2 Thrive days. I use all put 5 days that I carry over is I can. This year I started with 37 days of PTO.

like

I get 4.5 weeks I think but I use mine but I could roll over like 3 years worth if I didn't use it

like

I get a total of 28 days a year. 5.6 weeks. I usually roll over a good amount year to year while working 4 day weeks about twice a month.

like

I have 33 PTO days plus a freebie floater. I usually carry over 5 days a year so this year I've got 39 days to burn. I'm taking them all.

I get 4 weeks and I use it all every year, a week every 3 months to relax and recharge really helps prevent burnout

What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

I’m currently at a boutique agency where it’s just me and my boss doing RM for about 200+ people. I have been there for almost a year and have implemented some new processes that are starting to help streamline the process. I currently make $85K. Is this an appropriate salary for my level? I am being approached for RM roles at consulting firms and other agencies. I like the idea of building something here but would also like better benefits (more vacation, better mat leave).

We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

I am seriously worried. I am doing my co-op and my supervisor is not giving me an easy time. I feel bullied and very anxious. I am afraid she can jeopardize my visa with a bad evaluation. I have been working at midnight, on Sunday mornings but I am human, I make mistakes, she just blames me instead of teaching.

I’m unstaffed for the first time this week, which means that no one wants to book me. Not even for BD. I have been crying all day and start having suicidal thoughts again.

I have a friend who was let go a few months into his first job after college (reason: the manager felt like he wasn't grasping the training content to the level that was expected). He's worried about if he should put the experience on his resume anyway, if he does will recruiters ask why he had such a short time at this place, and what will recruiters think if he explains he was let go. What are some things recruiters expect from candidates in this situation to continue considering them?
