Good jobs for introverts? So over consulting.

Asking questions of others is great. Also helps if you have 1-2 hobbies/interests that aren’t too personal that you are excited to chat a bit about. Sports is always a good one. What tv shows you are watching (not kidding, I’ve had some hilarious client convos about the bachelor franchise over the years). Asking someone what show they are watching now or what is a good tv show they discovered recently. Travel or cool trips. And then there’s always some just really funny ice breakers... like I was once at a big dam dinner where the partner had us do a round robin of “what was the worst job you’ve ever had” and it was hilarious. No one said their current job thank god :)
I decide what aspects of my personal life I don’t mind sharing and stick to those. Questions are great but people will eventually feel like you’re standoffish if they don’t know anything at all about you outside of work.
Agree with the two above. Hobbies, sports, food, etc. are good and can give people an idea who you are without getting too personal. People generally want to find something to connect with you on aside from work
The thing with some the office is that it often feels forced and that’s why it’s annoying or uncomfortable to divulge personal details
