I've been trying to look for a new job which is in a call center setting again and have miserably failed my application thrice now. I was able to make it to the final interview that would next lead to the job offer but mentioned the reasons behind my termination albeit in a positive way. However, in the end, I still failed to land the jobs. Does the reason you left a job even need to come up? To mention in an interview or to completely omit and remove from your resume?

I think the market is quite competitive right now. No, the reason why you left doesn't need to come up. You are also not required to mention it in an interview.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Something very similar happened to me (on my third interview I mentioned something about my previous employer that I think cost me the job). I think the main thing is just to work on interview skills and come up with a really good answer for questions about your previous job. You can be vague, you don't even need to explain yourself. But be professional

I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

I've spent almost a decade in tech strategy and implementation.

Now trying to figure out whether product management or corporate strategy (preferably broader than tech) is a better fit for me after several years in boutique and enterprise consulting:

Can someone in either of these areas describe your day to day responsibilities, relative compensation, WLB, and how your work fits into your company strategy?

A certain SVP is spamming the bowl about “Trump dues”. If you feel that this is a) clever b) funny c) contributes to the discussion at hand d) any combination of the above, you’d be wrong. A quick search shows at least 12 mentions of “Trump dues” by SVP in the last two hours.

P.s. I don’t know what industry SVP works in, but it sure isn’t finance or accounting because he doesn’t seem to understand the concept that large term loans can be (and usually are) settled by the issuance of a new loan.
