Why aren't you making 80K+ after leaving Public with 3 years of experience? I left public at 1.8 years, no CPA, and my salary was 80k.
I guess that’s the major issue here lol! I wanted to get out of public so bad so I literally just asked for a little more than I made leaving public.
I make over 80k without my CPA.
FP&A
Just... pass your CPA? It's not that hard and it's very valuable.
I sat 3 times during my time in public and couldn’t pass a single one. I am also a single mother and my child was under the age of 5 at the time I was attempting to study. Also, WFH during COVID really made it hard to retain any information. The time I took away from my young child to fail a test over and over again didn’t seem worth it to me. Maybe I should re-reevaluate now that he’s older.
There’s definitely senior positions that pay $100k+ that don’t require cpas. It’s usually manager and above that usually requires cpas
Come back to public I’ll get you $95k
No worries, you can make manager without it here so that buys you more time too! Let me know!
I’ve noticed salary in our field range wildly mostly based on location and the company. Not so much your experience and qualifications. If you want the sure fired way, I’d say get your cpa. Easy to say but I’m also in your situation. The harder way to earn that salary is to find a firm willing to pay that much and prove your worth.
I can’t get you a senior position over 80k without cpa
Do you live in Alabama? Plenty of industry jobs thatll pay six figures in Nyc
Literally live in NJ 😭
