I would say look into analyst role, as this will give you more experience with different databases as well data visualization & turning the data into compelling stories to drive growth. Also, usually to get a good understanding from a role typically want at least 18 months to 2 years IMO.
Thank you for the advice, especially regarding timelines and potential avenues. While my role was split, I have been in Sales enablement since I started, I just had other duties besides so I'm honestly getting itchy and bored. I like it all fine, but I need something to progress towards which is why I was looking into Sales Analyst roles and I wasn't sure if it was appropriate as my background isn't analytical in the slightest (I'm an English grad who has always been better with numbers). I plan to put in a few more months here but finalising the next step in my head will actually make me commit to it and do it. 😊
You're more than welcome. Don't worry about your background, the analyst role is great, it will help you in the long run too & open doors. My 2nd role was an analyst. First, I started in the field as a sales rep then analyst, then sales development manager, then most recently account manager. But nowadays I know there is also customer success manager that you could pursue after your analyst role.
