Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Yup, that's totally true, but for small things I wish it can be done, like some women start scrunchies or jewellery business.. I'm referring to those small things.
I can't agree with this more.
Always support friends and family!

Bhai bahut saman khareeda hai amway wale friends se, aisa na bolo sab karte hai madad..wo banda he bhool jata hai baad me
I agree! I always try to support my friends in their new businesses, it's such an inspiration to see!
Supporting is one thing being a customer is another. Supporting does not mean buying stuff even when you don't need them.
Multiple of my friends have smaller startups. I critically analyse their process. Help them figure out the end goal and then work backwards. Establish SOPs. Identify issues and solve them. Thats my definition of support.
