Starting a new job with a new creative partner soon. Any tips on how to get started on the right foot?

If I were to make a career change out of HR, what else could I use my skills for? I have 10 years of progressive HR experience from HR Assistant up to Director and have started thinking about a change.

I’m 30, should I consider joining S& Middle East as Senior Associate in attempt to make Manager and leave? Is it too exhausting? Will I burn out before I get there? And how long to Manager?

Perspective. I’m retiring from the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive. I have a graduate degree pursuing a doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP. I’ve been offered two positions that are great and on the human capital team. For someone in this situation where should I be looking as commensurate with my certifications and experience?

Currently in ibanking as an associate and want to see if I can make the move to PE. Is the CAIA viewed favorably at all?

Been a coach at the collegiate level for 6 years. Make a $65k salary. Want to leave coaching and break into sales/marketing/recruiting/consulting. I have ample leadership and recruiting experience with a strong work ethic.

I left mortgages at the beginning of the year to start a franchise business, it's now semi-self-sufficient so wanted to start a career again and I live in the Silicon Slopes area. Everyone I know is in SaaS or software engineering.

I am currently a Program Manager at Amazon who used to be an EA. I was really excited to switch job families and get into the PM space, however I feel like I really miss being an EA, and am thinking about going back to the role if I find a good team. Has anyone had experience doing this, and what was your experience like? I’m very conflicted.

First year lit associate here. I had a tough time deciding between corporate and lit and chose lit because I wanted to litigate. Its only been a few months but I’m not enjoying the people or the work as it turns out (too many internal investigations and researching obscure issues, haven’t been on a single filed case yet). Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.

I’ve been verbally offered a position at a new company, but the recruiter insists on getting a verbal acceptance before sending the offer in writing. This person insists on negotiating salary before sending the paperwork. Generic benefits, RSUs, bonus info have been provided; it’s all unofficial.

This is absurd. Am I missing some “new way” of doing things? Your take?

I understand that in most cases folks with <2 YOE will join with the same title as UG campus hires. How many YOE (or months of experience) will qualify you for a higher pay band (compared to campus hires)?

The particular job I’m looking at has this on the listing and I’m curious as to what their budget actually is. Do I assume a range?
