All they say is it is stuck at client side and we'll update you. But its been more than a month. What should do in this case? Should i speak with HR or my department SPOC? Please suggest.

Last year due to covid got laid off and then didn't got any opportunity due to visa issues. Later myself and my family got covid positive and unfortunately my father expired due to covid.
So I have got gap of 1.3 years in my career.
Now I want to start giving interviews and get back in the game.
My concern is with 2 things here
1. I lack confidence/motivation due to the gap.
