There are so many positive articles about returning to the office and yet I haven’t met a single person who is in favor of weekly mandated dates. I personally feel that if an employee or role type has proven they work well at home they should be allowed to continue. I’drather see mandates on in office activities, for example: having some in person 1:1s, a team meeting (if all or the majority of the team are local), departmental quarterly meetings. Let’s choose meaningful times to meet in person.

How are 1st year litigation associates dealing with WFH? I’ve been having terrible anxiety/panic attacks, and pretty sure my billables wont exceed 110 for April. I’ve been super stressed about it and don’t know how to move on to May with the proper mindset to make up for as much time missed as possible. CA courts are still closed, and I’m worried I won’t be able to exceed (or even meet) my May goal after April.

1. Infosys 18.25 LPA(15% variable) 1.25 JB
2. Infostrech (Apexon now) 21 fixed 1.25 JB

Infosys permanent wfh (Infosys doesn't have office in Gujarat)
Infostrech (Apexon) 1year wfh then hybrid (office is there in my hometown)

Which should I go with?
In terms of wlb (must for me as I am having small daughter to look after) & job security .

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

For all the young minds that are slogging away and pissing their life away on useless PPTs hoping that things are better when you are a partner - they are not - get out now!

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?

Hi there - my company is returning to office next month. Hybrid to begin before they ramp up to 5 days back in office by end of year.

I think the fact they want to bring us back 5 days is disrespectful considering how much work we’ve put in remotely over the last year. Not to mention productivity studies say people who WFH (and have no kids) are substantially more productive.
