Have the officiant make an announcement! Can’t trust people to read anything.
Please just choose to not put your pet in a stressful situation when you don’t have to.
Completely agree. Not sure if OP was alluding to the fact the dog may bite? But idk doesn’t seem worth it
We designated my husbands brother as our dogs caretaker for the whole day. Our dog loves him and we knew he’d have more time to devote to her. She was in the ceremony but my BIL walked her down the aisle and he had her on a leash for the reception. She can get startled and doesn’t like being pet, but this worked perfectly. We didn’t feel the need to ask anything from our guest since we knew she was safe with my BIL.
Great advice, thank you!
I would have the dog walk the aisle then leave for the remainder of the ceremony. Last wedding I went to included the dogs throughout the ceremony and it was honestly so distracting. They were so poorly behaved 😬 it was a mistake to include them for sure. Everyone including the groomsmen who were holding them are 100% looking at the dogs in every photo rather than focusing on the couple
Please be considerate and don't overwhelm her? I have no idea how to phrase that
This is great, thank you!
