Hi everyone Google ,
I am facing interview trouble.
1. First round of interview has done
2. 2nd was scheduled on 1 july but interviewer did not join. After a few mails to hr and recruitment team one hr replied that they will reschedule it, and asked me for possible dates.
Since then i am waiting for the interview schedule as all of my given dates have been passed. I don't know how to deal with it as I don't want to miss the opportunity.

Looking at roles on Stripe’s financial crime team.- I’ve seen mixed reviews about the company on here. I’m relatively new to the industry and willing to compromise a bit on WLB especially since the role aligns really well with a lot of my experience and interests . Does anyone have insight into the financial crime team culture there?

Sometimes, but not always. I *have* worked at a select few firms where employees were legitimately treated like family. For the most part, though, I agree - this is a backdoor way of guilting people into working more hours.
It always feels like "you are a family" until raises, promotion and bonuses come. Then you aren't a family anymore.
It’s a cheap internal marketing ploy in an attempt to raise employee morale.
I know! They need to be more innovative these days. Also, they need to do what they say.
I tend to avoid those places or well, I don't buy it really. I mean I don't WANT my work to be a family - I want to get in and get out lol, I feel like it's an excuse to be toxic and let it slide when companies say that
Chief
I feel like most people that say that have said to their children on every available occasion “You’ll do what I say because I’m your parent”
I know! I feel the same way. It is a shame that they think we aren't smart enough to fall for corporate jargon like that.
I'm not sure if they make their family work on holidays or extra hours too. And they take all the credit at the end of the day.
I agree! I feel that people in upper management don't differentiate between work and life and they want everybody to feel the same way. No thanks!
Depends on the company I worked for. Some did feel really close-knit and I had good relationships, others I would roll my eyes and be like "really"
Unfortunately, the "really" reaction has always been my case. Let's hope for more honest speeches!
you have to be like 22/23 to actually buy into that statement when a senior level person says it. It's like nails on the chalkboard and insanely cringe in my opinion.
Yeah, it sounds like leverage to get us to do something they're already aware we'd be reluctant to do lol. I don't think they really think it'll be effective though; more so a "Hail Mary" of sorts.
It seems like that corporate jargon was passed from generation to generation. I don't think I will continue with it when I'm in that position.
Those are pretty much my thoughts exactly. I hate when they say we are family. We are not family. This is not how you treat your family.
I wish I could know a way to tell them that we aren't a family. At least I treat my family better.
Given the family situation I grew up with, your translation of "we are a family" hits my sentiments right on its head. It's basically just them saying that they're taking advantage of you until your brain gets sucked dry.
Right! These people nowadays... They keep with the same nonsense meeting after meeting.
I don't buy this anymore, honestly. I would roll my eyes in secret everytime. Me and my co-workers would look at each other saying "here we go again" with our eyes. Lol.
I also do the same thing when we are at the office! If not, I would send someone a Teams message to laugh together.
Nah. This phrase has been used several times almost everywhere to overwork the employees. What comes to my mind is: "RUN"
