McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Headphones! When I went from cubicles to an open-office layout, I hated it at first. I had massive noise cancelling headphones to drown out chatter or keep people from just walking up talking to me as if I can hear/engage. Kinda passive aggressive but idc. Brown/pink/white noise helped or some lo-fi, if I wanted a tune. After a while, I think you get used to most of the chatter but you can’t really help people starting a convo or pulling you out of your zone.
I don't think this would do it for me, but I don't know. I'm so comfortable working from my home office and venturing out to a coffee shop when I need a little extra stimulation... I feel like a full day in the office would send my poor brain into overdrive.
I'd be willing to try it. I've used binaural beats for years and recently added brown, pink noise. I like the idea of a standing phone booth. Even better if you could sit/stand in a box with your back turned. I loved the sitting areas as well. If they've stopped the lights from buzzing and added ambience/noise I think I'd like it a lot.
Binaural beats work the best for me!
Understood is a great non profit, but everyone is different I'd say.
I like drum n bass and hardcore for work, that definitely not brown noise
nothing gimmicky here at all. this is thoughtful design and will be very helpful to the sensory sensitive.
