What’s the switch from adderall to vyvanse like? Have been on adderall my whole adult life, low 5mg instant release dose. Helped a ton but I don’t like the side effects of even such a low dose. Thinking about talking to my doctor about switching to vyvanse

The major adjustment will be in the instant vs. extended release formulations. I was put on vyvanse initially, and really disliked it. Then XR adderall, and disliked that for the same and other reasons.

I did. And that was very much attributable to my own lack of discipline (in more than one area). Simply put, take it late, stay up late. That said, there definitely is a mental component (at least for me) to it. Meaning, I can psych myself out of most things, especially sleep. All in all, if you are disclipined about it, I think it can be just the ticket. It eventually was in my experience.

like

Vyvanse significantly worsened my insomnia; ai absolutely could not sleep.

What helps me with the physical side effects of my Ritalin is a beta blocker, so I get the focus and it keeps the panicky-feeling anxiety away.

I recently joined a small-sized product based company.I have not been able to get along with my manager. He does not give me full information on assigned tasks and expects me to follow his order to the letter like in a military. When I ask him doubts he either scolds me or laughs at me like I am dumb. Because of this i am literally scared to talk to him. I am almost depressed because of this. I don't know if it is my fault and if mine how to improve myself.I am very sad bcoz of this

Here is my current cocktail: Caffeine 400mg (200 when I wake up then another 200 when I go to the gym 30 minutes later), Modafinil 150, Bupropian XL 150. I used to take adderall but it made me crazy for lack of a better word. Looking to add a stimulant for focus. Suggestions? Currently deciding between Ritalin and Vyvanse. Also, I know I’m a stim junkie I was taking adderall for 20 years so my tolerance is pretty high. Please keep it positive and helpful thanks

I only drink about 2 times a week, but it’s the volume of drinks that’s the issue. I’m not ready to quit - just cut down a lot! Tips/advice appreciated! TIA :)

My psychiatrist today revealed to me that I may have ADHD, still a hypothesis that he is still exploring but from my personal experiences and discussions with therapist, it seems likely.

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms. I do struggle to keep focus and generally take a bit longer to finish them, specifically the structuring of the case. Does anybody else feel the same way and any recommendations to overcome this?

I’ve been having insomnia lately (around 1 month). Tried the usual, lighter dinners, no caffeine etc. with no improvement…. Have been taking Focalin for +\- 8 months. I‘m mindful of timing as well to not interfere with sleep my schedule. Now I wonder if switching to Vyvanse or something else might help.

How do you deal with the following - 1) lack of general organization in life, note taking, keeping track of your relationships and 2) attention to detail. These 2 things have been bothering me a lot. We all are smart as hell but silly mistakes such as spelling mistakes, broader checks to be done on the deck is killing me. Also I feel the lack of organization in personal life blows into professional as well. If you are a consultant how do u deal with it ?

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!

Anyone else have a need to exercise daily? Just wondering if anyone faces the challenges.
