When I don’t get answer on the phone my second option is to go to make a personalized 20-30 second video, and I end up landing interviews with top decision makers, does anyone else use video as part of their outreach? Would you attend a meeting with other like minded SDR/BDRs to showcase your skills and to see how other people use video to prospect, I’m thinking about doing a small webinar free of charge. Guys I got three offers. Not to show off. But I feel extremely guilty for the HR for dropping those two offers. Do you also guys feel the same or is it because I'm sensitive.

But there is one pwc HR I attended two rounds. But she doesn't even attend my call now or reply my email. I mean it hardly takes 30 secs to send out an rejection mail or pick up the phone the say I'm not shortlisted. Why should they ignor. I'm not gonna scold her or beat her for that don't they have some basic integrity

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

Re-invited to interview at BCG but also want to cast a wide net and apply for Mck and Bain. However got rejected last year this time at the resume screen stage. I’ve changed firms since I last applied (to a well known boutique) - is this sufficient or am I still frozen?

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

I could use some guidance on how to transition out of firm life into a government role. Prior to law: four years working for a state and a city, and four years before that worked at a consulting agency strictly serving government agencies and cities/counties. You’d think this would parlay well into the government roles I am applying for, but so far no dice. I’m entering my fourth year practicing as a lawyer. I had bought medical insurance for my my parents and I on 17 Feb 2022 with 38K premium. Can I add this deduction in FY22-23 tax declaration.

What’s the best advice for someone early in career?

Are there any resources you found helpful in improving your skills as a BDR, specifically around drafting compelling emails? Looking to refresh some language and struggling to find resources that aren't gimicky. Any advice appreciated.

Top SDRs oftentimes don't sound like traditional salespeople when cold calling. They use a very casual voice tone.

Here are a few tips:

1. Avoid upward inflections at the end of sentences. This makes it sound like everything you ask is a question
2. Slow down and eliminate buzzwords. Speaking fast makes you sound nervous and less confident
3. Avoid reading from a script - internalize your message and put it into your own works so you sound like YOU!

What’s the best way to transition into tech sales?

I have 3 years of consulting (2.5 at EY, .5 at boutique) in finance and analytics. I’m struggling on looking for roles because I’m afraid I will go down in comp (currently base 105)

I have a total of 4 years sales experience, 1 year in life insurance sales and 3 in retail banking (lending, investment referrals, merchant services referrals).

I did well in banking, but incentive plan has suffered tremendously, so I’m looking to jump into tech sales where I could be more compensated for the work.
