Got final interview with 2 ppl from Deloitte yesterday, 1 is a manager and the other is a partner. I think I did well with the manager.For the partner, he asked 2/4 questions that I did not prepare so did not answer as well as expected. He stopped asking me after just 10 mins with those 2 questions. Given that I have some strengths from my resume ( high gpa, passed cpa) and fluent communication,friendly manner. Any hope? Position: Audit staff.

I'm having a few informal/informational interviews with some folks at my spouse's company (he's also in product/strategy role) - would it be crazy to work at the same company, on similar but not the same team, as your partner/spouse? Will I regret it? Any tips from people who have been there?

I have received an invite from EY for interview. The first interview is with partner followed by senior manager? Is this usually the lineup? What can I expect in the partner round? Generally, partner round is the last one so just curious!

I’m interviewing potential art partners and wondering, how picky should you be with selecting a partner? If none of the candidates seem to feel right, should I just wait for one I’m sure about or be okay if they seem nice enough?

Applying to a new position with my partner. All the interviews have been together. For the money talk, should we do that together or approach it solo. Im confident in my negotiating skills and don’t want them to mess it up, but i don’t necessarily have a reason to think they will.

Completed all rounds of PWC interview until partner for a Manager position. I guess it went well. Most likely up for promotion this mid year at current firm. Should I leave my comfortable position at Accenture and venture out for a possible significant bump in salary ? What am I possibly getting myself into.I am also on H1b.

Has an offer from firm 1 and they only gave a few days for me to decide. Just finished another round of interviews with firm 2 and I believe the next one would be partner interview. Should I:
1) Ask for more time for the first offer (hesitant to do this because it shows I am considering options and don't immediately want to accept)
2) Negotiate with first offer and buy some time (leaning towards this but might risk them getting back to me very quickly and not enough time for 2nd offer)

An agency I contacted a year ago, after I was laid off in the pandemic, finally gets in touch with a team opening on a very tough account. If I waited around that long for them I’d have defaulted on my mortgage, lost my work visa and been kicked out of the country by now. I’ve been freelancing on way more interesting stuff but decide to do the interview and find out more. The first question the CCO asks me and my partner, “So why do you want this job?” 🙄

Tomorrow is my interview with the partner. Still have two rounds after but this will be the case and I anticipate the most challenging. I’m incredibly nervous. I’ve been shooting for this role for the past 2 years.

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

Radio silence from recruiter/firm for the last 72 hours after interview with a partner - is this a red flag? For context, this firm had given rapid feedback in prior interview rounds

Hey Deloitte fish, I had a final stage interview with a partner and got a call from the recruiter straight after that saying feedback was very positive and they will be working on the offer and will take a while to get the approvals, find the team, etc. It's been 3 weeks now, I followed up once and they said they are still working on it. Any insights how long this normally lasts? The grade is Manager in the UK.

So had an interview at an AM50 firm (early) mid-March. Talked with about 8 attorneys/partners and it went super well overall. No dull or awkward moments, everything flowed. They said they wanted someone to fill the position soon, but had no timeframe on it because the partner was super busy. Flash forward to now - still no news. I have followed up twice and the response is always "no updates yet, but I'll keep you posted." They clearly are not interested. Why keep me in suspense?!

I'm a woman of color, and believe not valued at current firm. Have been referred to as naive or innocent, and have been confused by partner with other (only) woman of color though we look nothing alike. Hours have been taken away to feed partner favorites, so looking for a new job but interviewers are always white males. Don't come from a prestigious law school, but have worked hard - made it to big law. Had 2 3-round interviews, but can't seem to close the deal. Advice?

2 years ago I joined this company and left after 2.5 months, wasn’t a culture fit. They obviously weren’t happy but they seemed to respect my decision and I was professional about it. I came across an opening that I wanna apply to but was looking at their team and the partner of the group I joined (same partner I interviewed) is on the advisory board, it’s a 15 people company. Do I even apply to that job and hope we don’t cross paths/they won’t ask him about me or just not even bother?

Wwyd? HR/leaders, what are your thoughts? I just finished an interview with a recruiter who asked me questions that violated EEOC standards. It’s a startup of ~500 people so I don’t think there’s been structure and training provided regarding legal interview questions. Im moving to the next round interviews with a partner of the group - do I give this as a point of feedback? Or do I say something to the recruiter?

Really liked my job until about six months ago. Really struggling with job satisfaction right now, although nothing substantive has changed. I’m in a good spot compensation wise and for partner track, but also in the prime of my lateral marketability.

Float my resume and take some interviews, or chalk it up to covid fatigue and see what things feel like in 6-12 months?

Why are some firms so strict with the yoe policy? Spoke to the partner for a manager role and they said I’m short 5 months for the manager role - this is after all the interviews and I’ve performed. Now they want me as a senior associate for 1 year before I can be a manager

Hi! I'm currently in a dilemma. I recently got an offer from a company that wants me to give a final answer by Friday AM but I am simultaneously interviewing with KPMG and in the final round waiting for my call with the partner. KPMG is my top choice, but if I don't get hired by KPMG, I don't want to lose this offer. Have any of you accepted an offer and then got an offer from another company that you wanted to work at and left the job that you just started? What other advice do you guys have?

Anyone have any tips or reccomendations for the partner round interviews at BCG?

I was told not to expect any tricks/too much different from what I had in my previous round but I find that a little hard to believe.

Partner 🐠 - what are some traits of top candidates for final round partner interviews?

Had a final round interview with B4 consulting on Monday and spoke with a partner for 10 min. When is it okay to follow up with them about a final decision? Currently staffed and they wanted me to start in March. So wanted to give my team maximum time to backfill my position.

Is it in poor taste to reach out to a professor at a school I already interviewed for but am waiting on a decision from? He used to be a partner at my current firm and we have similar backgrounds so thought it would be helpful to discuss a few things with him
