A firm im pretty interested in is super insistent on doing an in person interview during office hours. They want to do it towards the end of lunch hour. It's super inconvenient for me and will likely make me run late for other things and my partner has things going on at that hour where I need to be available. Not sure how to handle as this firm is dead set on an in person interview.

Interviewing for a role I am qualified for. During the second round of interviews (4.5 hours) one partner could not make his time slot. The firm now wants to schedule a third round of interviews with the partner that missed his time and at the request of one of the interviewers in my second round, multiple other folks I’d be directly working with for a robust 2 hours+ third round. Any reason they’d add the new interviewers other than doubting my candidacy?

Is it a good sign if the hiring partner sent me a LinkedIn request when I checked out his profile after the final interview?

I am currently interviewing for a Senior Partner Solutions Architect role and want to know what I want for compensation. What would be a good range to ask for annual compensation (base, bonus, stocks)? Would it be a good idea to leave Booz and go?

My partner is interviewing at Deloitte (healthcare team). Any pointers on how to respond to ‘why Deloitte’ question? I feel like all Big Four are almost the same for outsiders and you need to join first to evaluate the ‘people and culture’ fit.

I’m about to hit 2 YOE, and I can ask a partner to review my resume, cover letter, and refer me to McK. My brief bio:
- non-target ug
- low SAT (application portal asks for scores)
- CS and Business degrees (3.7 GPA) + strong ECs
- 1 year of B4 consulting experience
- 1 year of internal strategy consulting group experience at a F50 company
- Planning to spend the next month preparing for case interviews and other application components

A v20 firm has put me through 3 rounds of interviews with about 12 people in the group. The main partner wants to talk to me a 3rd time now and my recruiter tells me the interview is over and now it’s just discussion, what’s it going to take for me to make the move. I have a few concerns that I wouldn’t raise on an interview (such as, I’m 7 years experienced in x y z but this firm does a b c, which is similar to x y z, but still not the same). I’d learn fast but also nervous. Do I bring this up?

I’m at the references stage of interviews so I reached out to a former partner I worked for to see if he would be ok with me listing him as a reference. He agreed, but also asked whether I would come back and work for them. Would it still be weird to list them as a reference?

I had my final interview with a partner two weeks ago and when I followed up with the recruiter twice, I got this feedback "I have not yet received an outcome or feedback following your most recent interview. As soon as I have an update I will get in touch as soon as possible."

How does recruitment in the big 4 work? I am not sure why the partner hasn't sent feedback to the recruiter.

Deloitte controllership recruiting is nowhere to be seen. Had great interviews and partner and recruiter both promised they would try to align me with a specific group for me to talk to after and I haven’t heard anything from them for 2-3 weeks even though I’ve sent a follow up email.

Hello - any recent Deloitte interview experiences that you can share if it ended in an offer? I completed interviews prior to thanksgiving break and I received a thank you response from the partner and I received a follow up email from the internal recruiter that I would get an up date early this week the day of the interview. I did not ask for the recruiter update so I’m thinking it’s a good sign. The interviews were very conversational and enjoyable.

What is a typical time for an offer to be extended? Had one informal coffee, followed by a Zoom interview with four additional attorneys, and then an in-person interview with the practice head and the hiring partner (who was present at all of these). Talks went very well, and conversation ended with how they just needed to talk to the people responsible for next steps(finance). Last meeting was one week ago. Big firm. Not a posted position so I’m the only candidate. Am I am being impatient?

Need to vent. Applied to D for their an analyst role through campus recruitment. Did great on interviews and the managers & partner liked me.
Ended up being rejected for an analyst role due to being overqualified for having 2.5 of PWE as an analyst in a different industry. Recruiter argued back, but losing battle against the top guns. Any advice as far as titles to go for post graduation in June

I have a follow up meeting with a Partner from Guidehouse- in case compensation comes up what salary range should I say I'm looking for? For context- I have a little over two years of experience on various Federal Government IT projects and the interview is for a Consultant level role.

Had an interview with EY last Friday. During the interview, the SM mentioned that if the interviewers (SM and M in my case) were still unsure about giving offer, we would do another interview with the partner. Today I was told that I’d have a call with partner next week. So not sure if this is a good or bad sign 🥲 The recruiter said that the interview would be “conversational” so it seems slightly less formal. Has anyone had similar experience?

interviewing with kpmg, i thought i’d have one manager, director, then a partner interview. but i’ve got another director interview. kinda nervous now, since i gave a good performance on my last interview and was just hoping to finish off with my partner interview. Coming from non consulting role, so any tips on my interviews would be appreciated as would any jokes and non-serious answers.

My partner smokes weed and if he gets this role he interviewed for he will need to get drug tested. He’s a daily smoker so I’m nervous he will end up failing the test even if he stopped smoking last week. Do those expensive detox toxins work ?

Six years at B4 now. I don't have the fire in me I used to have for my career. Really wanted to make a partner one day but that aspiration has almost disappeared. I now look for a way to slack, do bare minimum only when it's absolutely necessary and have zero desire to do anything above and beyond. Have been interviewing outside of public for a while without success. How do I get my fire back? I miss that feeling.

So I have a final round Panel Interview scheduled for tomorrow with a partner at EY. But I just received an automated email 10min ago saying the position has been closed or filled. So do I still have an interview tomorrow/should I email the recruiter?
