Is it appropriate to ask about the comp/benefits the partner group makes at a regional consultancy I’m interviewing with (top 30)? At B4 I know I’d start around 300k in my practice, great pension, etc. Obviously it depends on growth of the firm (300mil rev last year, projecting 1B by 2026) but I’m just not sure how to go about it. I’m already a senior manager so just don’t want to join somewhere with not much room for growth even if I do join partnership.

Anyone interview with EY-P recently? What is the format of the partner interview rounds?

Hey 🐠 fam: have a verbal offer from PwC awaiting the offer letter but expected to get it today. Partner from the group I interviewed with called me personally to congratulate me and offered to talk if I had any questions, etc. he seems really excited to have me and values my prior experiences and our Interview ran well over the allotted time. Is this standard or has anyone had this happen? Unsure what to do haha I’m sure I can think of questions to ask? Not really sure what the best move is

Heads up for KPMGers, if you’re considering employment with an audit client, it must be promptly reported to your BU’s “professional practice partner - audit” in accordance with the KPMG RMM. I’d never heard of this before and figured it’d be helpful for anyone considering leaving or just trying to get some interview practice in.

Is it strange that during an interview a partner at D told me “we’re more professional here”. I’m at another big 4 firm btw.

Interviewing with an audit client but had nothing to do with the audit (I’m in tax). The company I’m interviewing with just informed me that they’ll need to inform the audit partner of my current firm to proceed with an offer. Anyone gone through this before? I’m hesitant to give the okay to let my current firm know I’m interviewing without knowing if I’ll actually get an offer or what it’ll look like.

Need some advice! I’ve been out of the interview game for a long time but I have one coming up with a partner at PwC for an advisory role- is it going to be technical (expected to complete a case) or more conversational? I’m just nervous bc it’s 45 minutes long. Also any other tips would help, like how to dress, etc. Thanks in advance!

How do i go about applying for green card. My partner said I’m eligible to apply now based on my conversation. But idk how to go about it. Do i wait until immigration firm reaches out to me or should i reach out to them?

Have an interview coming up with the chief revenue office. The role I'm interviewing for is the head of NA HR supporting him. It's a maturing startup in hyper grow stage with aggressive revenue goals.
Appreciate any pointers of things I should bring up and discuss that would give him the confidence that I'd be an excellent HR partner.
What has come up to my mind is asking about his major challenges and his revenue attainment strategies, and what my views are of supporting him from people's side

Should I wait until we come back from the break to tell Partner and give 2 week notice? I don’t want to ruin their vacation with bad news.

Just had my 3rd interview last Thursday, with my potential AD partner. Haven’t heard anything back since. Should I assume they’ve moved on or is this pretty normal? They rushed me through all the interviews and the first CD gave my book more compliments than Ive had in an interview, so part of me thought it’d be quicker. Dying to find FT now as freelancing for the last year has been rough.

At big4 does the partner(s) interview us decide the offer salary and bonus? Will they know if you negotiate?

Current gig - FDD M2 - will get promoted this year. In a really good group with great people and partner. Pay sucks.

Potential opps:
-ACN M&A strat - Manager - base is at market and substantial pay raise (50+%) with nice sign on bonus. Perf Bonus is likely 10-13%. Currently have offer

-A&M PEPI CFO Services - way smaller base than ACN but crazy TC upside with utilization bonus. Still in interview process. WLB will take a big hit.

Had an initial phone screening/interview with my dream firm. I’m not sure how it went. There were some good, some bad (or at least I think) parts. I was referred by a partner and this is my first time phone screening and was expecting a lot more questions. I was asked a couple “tell me about” questions and then went into salary expectations and open to relocating. How much weight do they put into the phone screen and is it normal to wonder how they went?

Got a verbal offer, but in round 3 of ? at another. Do I bring up to the current firm that I have an offer that I need to make a decision on within a week? The next round is Partner level, but I haven’t done a case or a peer interview at all

I am applying for a job at my client but in a different division than the one I work with. Should I tell my hiring managers and interviewers that I have experience working with their company? I am concerned about them reaching out to their counterparts (my current client) in the other division and my current client may inform my partner about my move. What is the suggested approach here?

Wanting some advice….I had an a lengthy phone chat with a partner at my dream firm. It was an informational interview and went well but referring didn’t come up and kinda slipped my mind. That was about a week ago. Would reaching out through email asking if he felt comfortable referring be appropriate or should I try and get a referral from someone else?

Move from sales strategy / biz ops to biz dev or partner manager roles? I want to move closer to the revenue side in order to make more money and think that a partner manager or biz dev role could be cool but can’t get past a few interview rounds and the feedback is always that I have not done the role before. Since there are no classes / trainings on biz dev, am I forever doomed to not be able to pivot into this? Frustrated because I can’t fix that I have not done it before.

My partner wants to catch up and see how things are going. I am on a shitty job, 80% of the team left over the past few months and I am already interviewing since an internal transfer isn’t happening anytime soon. Do I just pretend that everything is fine and hit them with a 2 week notice hopefully in the next few weeks or tell them how I actually feel?
