My nerves got the best of me.

I’ve been interviewing to land an entry-level agency role for a few months now & have had dozens of interviews w/o issues.

I was interviewing for a role at an agency I’ve interviewed w/ for several teams & finally thought I’d receive an offer.

I interviewed with HR since the hiring manager was OOO, & randomly got nervous & choked up for a sec.

I blew it, & they extended an offer to someone with “strong client facing communication skills.”

Was it my nerves?

Anyone has any insights on Senior Product Manager interview at Smartsheet. Have an interview with the Hiring Manager soon, but feeling very under prepared and have no idea on what to expect in the interview. Any suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Do recruiters who do initial screening interview decide if the hiring manager interviews you?

Evaluating two exit offers.

One in an industry I want to build my career with a high caliber team (ex MBB) but seems a bit cutthroat and another in a new industry I’m not exactly interested in and supporting team isn’t the strongest (career industry folks) but my direct manager seems to really care about building my career and will lead a team vs more of an IC. Comp is similar and blue chip firms in their industry.

Thoughts on how to weigh these? Bit of a big fish/small pond scenario.

Senior 2 in audit to manager of technical accounting. Is this a good transition? Role is at a recently ipo’d tech company. Will likely be busy. 20k more in base salary in HCOL.

Pros and cons of taking counter offers? I’ve only heard bad things. Currently making $70k as a senior. Found a new job in industry paying $100k. My manager countered with a position of senior manager at $125k. They also said money was tight before but suddenly it magically appeared with no issue.

This s for my friend , He is at Cognizant currently Manager level (4th year) drawing 100k - got offer from Deloitte US DELIVERY CENTER ROLE as ETL Deveoper - Senior Solutions Architect (Mid Level) with 114k as package and remote role so need not relocate

I'm a newly promoted audit manager. I'm happy that I got promoted and I'm happy with my new salary/bonus etc. But my concern is that due to the heavy turnover in my firm, I'm stuck on the senior role on some jobs. It's a little frustrating since I know I could take on the manager role for these jobs but staffing is an issue. It's definitely bothering me a little even though I understand why. For those in this situation or have been in this situation, how have you dealt with it?

Looking at a Facebook people strategy role and wondering if I’d have a higher chance at getting a first round interview if I was referred by a FB recruiter in a different department? I have another friend who is a FB benefits manager but he says 9/10 referrals of his don’t get one. Thoughts?

So I am new to this position and the school I am with seems a little reluctant to help me as we start the year. I have a student who is obviously not at 6th grade level but is in 6th grade. I am her pull out teacher and her case manager. How do I figure out where to start for the year? I emailed her 5th grade teacher to see where they finished off. With that, how do I follow CC if she is not at the right level?

1. Do Google recruiters usually not communicate level and compensation upfront?
2. How can I demonstrate readiness for an L6 role instead of L5 or L4?
Context: G recruiter contacted me for an S&O Lead role in Cloud in Chicago. In the call, they said the level would be L4, L5 or L6, and they wouldn't share any figures on comp, saying that level and comp would be determined by the interview process.
About me: 11 yoe (all consulting, 5 as manager), Top 5 UG + M7 MBA, no SWE experience.

Currently I have low package... Do they give hike on current CTC or follow Band scale..?

Folks: Prepping for upcoming technical interview for Data Science Manager position, what should I expect interms of coding and what depth of technical knowledge

I have an offer from persistent systems and yet to get an offer from Capgemini, persistent systems is a lead role whereas Capgemini is giving me manager role, i am not sure which one to go for, persistent joining date is on 20th August, and Capgemini is yet to release my offer letter not sure what to do.

Exit options for a manager in analytics space

What’s the best way to manage expectations with a recruiter/hiring manager about the time you are able to commit to each interview process? It’s a hot market so I am exploring about 7 opps right now, but they all expect me to do multiple rounds of interviews during my work day and eventually a strategic assignment. I’m genuinely interested in all the roles but need to keep up with my current job so it’s hard to find time during the day for all these meetings. No one will meet before or after hrs
