Hey folds, need your advice. What is the key requirement to be a post sales customer success manager in a tech company? Does anyone have any guidance on how best to present a customer onboarding plan or examples of when you were impressed by a CSM?

Hi Googlers! I am curious if y’all could help. After 1.5 yrs at AWS, I’m so discouraged from being under hired and making 100k less than my peers. I have hit every goal and metric with good reviews. I just found out my promotion will likely be delayed as my manager is leaving. I work so hard and want to help my customers be trained on the cloud. I would love to find a position at Google in Business development in training and certification. Any suggestions of teams to reach out to? Non tech BDM

Has anyone transitioned from partnership tax to another internal group (i.e. consulting)? Was the switch worth it?

Compliance doesn’t interest me like it used to and Partnership tax experience alone really limits exit opportunities.

Can some one help me refer to a Senior Business Analyst/Senior Functional Consultant/Associate Project Manager role. I am an SLDC professional with over 10 years experience.

Some former colleagues at Manager level at B4 left for IB jobs where they joined as Associates. Not sure they got a pay-cut, it’s likely though, but definitely a Title/responsibility/leadership cut in my opinion. How do you feel about either pay-cuts or title cuts when transitioning industries? Does it worth the “cost(s)” if it is really the role you want to move to? (Looking at a possible exit opp, but most likely A or SrA. role at IB boutique, not higher)

Current role: Newly promoted big 4 manager - $140K base + 10% annual bonus (estimated based on previous performance)

Received offer for a senior mgr strategy role in tech.

$160K base + 20-30% annual bonus + 100K RSUs/ four years ~$225K TC.

Good offer or push higher base? Hesitant to jump for the small bump in base.

I'm currently working as a Business Development Manager with OYO for the last 2.5 years and I'm looking for a job change.

The problem is that I don't know what role would be best suitable to me; consulting, operations, marketing or something else? I'm unsure of what path to take going forward.

I interviewed for a program management role with Microsoft about a week ago. I had my 3 interviews with potential colleagues which I thought went well. The last interview with the hiring manager had to be rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict.

However, I haven’t heard anything since then from the recruiting team, not even about rescheduling the interview with the hiring manager. Should I mentally move on or is this a relatively normal timeline of events?

I Appeared for an interview for RPA - Automation Anywhere. I didn't got any response after the interview. Then when I reached hiring manager through LinkedIn I got to know I cleared all the rounds but my expected cts is high so they might have rejected. First thing is I never said what I am expecting . And I clearly told In managerial round that I am open for salary discussion.

But no one responded. Will I get the call back in time? Or I just leave it and go ahead with other companies?

Is it fair to ask for the sign-up bonus or extra equity in lieu of the 2021 bonus ($25K), unvested RSUs ($20k), and educational reimbursement I will need to repay ($24K) if I change jobs before the year end? It’s for a new manager role in the industry and I don’t want to sound like a clown asking for a $70K sign up on the $160K base comp…
