Range on TC annual comp plus carry for operating partner role at mid market PE form?

A client I worked on earlier this year has an opening for a senior accountant position and I want to apply. How do I go about applying for the position without engagement partner/managers knowing? Will the client let anyone know if they see my app?

My coach just told me he’s leaving the firm when I tried to schedule a meeting. I thought he must’ve found a better position but he sent me a second email saying he’s getting forced out and that he will explain everything next week. Kind of weird. Why would he tell me that and what is there to explain to me, a staff 2? I don’t think I’m in trouble because I emailed the partner and she said she’ll get back to me on Monday regarding a new coach arrangement. Is it weird or am I overthinking it?

I’m stressed about starting my new job. I’m at 2.5 YOE in consulting and wanted to leave because of salary. I’m going to join FB as a client solutions partner and they doubled my salary but the role isn’t what I want. I don’t want to do sales but strategy/product. I’m now having stress nightmares that I sabotaged my career and now I’m getting interview requests for roles that are more my liking. Should I renege? I won’t be miserable but I’m worried about future career steps

How beneficial is a senior partner referral at MBB? Tier 1 city for discussion purposes. Trying to gauge whether it’s an automatic interview like some firms, or if it’s only a small factor.

My partner verbally promised me a full time, permanent position, but instead gave me a temp contract. He now blames COVID and top leadership for forcing his hand and letting my contract lapse. I just graduated, I am terrified of going back into the job market without the years of experience to qualify as an experienced hire, without the structure of OCR, without the 5 years’ experience to apply for top tier MBAs, and a global recession to boot. it feels like I’m done for, for 6 months to 2 years

In a strategic partner type role now, becoming an expert in various products while consulting with clients. Would this be a good pivoting position to become a PMM at Google?

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?

Whats up with DC these days? Just a lonely associate auditor but can swing into feds with the masters and Vet Preference. Read the market is great for accountants but exit opportunities outside of DC can be lacking. Partner just got offered 6 figures so not super uptight on pay, but we’d only be looking at a couple of years out there.

I'm interested in transferring to another EY office. How do I go about starting that conversation with my partner? Is it likely they will be amenable and help me out? I am being promoted to manager starting Oct. 1 so not sure if that somehow plays a role (i.e. if they're not so keen on losing a manager right off the gate). I'd like to make the move to the other city very soon (next 1-2 months) so my hope is the transfer would be complete before we return to the office.

If you interview with OW or Deloitte for a senior position, let’s say Sr Manager / Principal or Associate Partner, what does that process look like? Do you still have to go through the case grind or is it more about your client and team leadership and biz dev experience?

How do you handle when a partner is doing something wrong - but refuses to listen to your objection? I am referring to where the law/facts clearly do not support that position and not because you think your way is smarter. The conduct does not result in any ethical issue but it reflects poorly on your firm and client. How much responsibility should be on the associate to raise these issues? Is raising it once enough? What if it happens frequently? It seems partners have limited oversight.

Wish we could be as specific as hiring companies are now: Writer seeks mid-size agency in small city with low traffic, easy access to nature. Agency must be independent. No holding companies. Conceptual Art partner must be provided. Salary must meet at least 4As standards. Mac provided can not be more than 2 years old. Agency must be AOR of for at least 5 clients for at least 3 years each. One account must be an alcohol brand. No open plan offices permitted. Agency must do my taxes.

Spent 10y in Big 4 mainly in US and Europe. Interviewing for Associate Partner position with an MBB in SE Asia. Would a ~5y stint in the region be an asset if I wanted to return back to US but remain with the hiring firm? Or is it a rabbit hole?

How do you deal with bosses that are intentionally always shitting on you and never giving you credit? What are the pros and cons of the Sr Program Architect Role at Salesforce vs Technical Architect Mgr/Sr Mgr at a global strategic partner?

Choosing between three firms , role is tax manager all are same pay. What’s the best choice? :

1. Local firm $15mm in revenue, really clicked with the MD. Seems like it would not be hard to make partner

2. Local Firm $7-10mm revenue, 4 partners , 2 retiring soon , MD is a saint

3. Regional firm $67mm revenue , 350 employees. Option to work remote fully, could live anywhere , just have to go to the office 4 weeks a year (could move to LCOL area and invest in real estate)

Came into public accounting from school & put my head down & made it to Senior Manager (maybe a year early). Now, reflecting, I am considering whether this is what I want to do going forward and worried about being pigeon-holed to tax for life if I stay longer. Comp also has never kept up to expectations. For others who’ve been in this position, what made you stay or go? Is the grass greener? Or should I stick with it and be happy w/ slight chance at partner @ some pt down the line?

Leaving Financial Services audit role after 4 years, have a few questions for anyone who has gone thru this process
