As a D/SM in Financial Audit (13 YoE), what are some of the popular and realistic exit opps? Dir of Financial Reporting? Dir of Technical Accounting? What’s the TC range for these roles? Anything 250-300TC? Or is that VP level? I’m debating on whether I should stay for partner (was strongly hinted that my runway is in the next 2-3 years) or exit to industry? Current TC is ~180 in Tier 1 city. TIA!

Is it a lateral move from Deloitte Consultant to PWC Senior Associate?

For context, I was up for promo last year but it was rescinded due to covid. SC promotion is “all but guaranteed” this cycle 🙄. I know PWC has an extra level with the new SM role so not sure if I’d be lateraling to SA3 from C at D? It’s a 40% base comp increase but just curious what the outside perception is... currently 3YOE, top right scatterplot. I’m thinking I could make M in a year or so but is that like SC at D??

Got an offer from a small biotech firm for a director role. Base is $200k plus $25k sign on plus $50k RSU with target bonus of 25%. I’m currently a M3 making $185 should be promoted to SM within the next year or so. Am I crazy to think this is a low offer?

SM/D fish, what kind of opportunities are you finding/targeting (including comp)? I have been casually looking for almost two years but haven’t found anything so far. I’m an SM and I’m currently exploring other opportunities. I’m in a very dynamic albeit ambiguous role where I oversee a team of 20, regularly facilitate internal and external strategic conversations with C-Suite, and get assigned to lead high-vis projects. The roles that I’m being offered are Director level and many seem to be lateral at best. Is this an age thing(32F)? Or am I doing a poor job of articulating my abilities?

Current client (ex Deloitte alums) put out an offer for svp at the regional Bank. Base salary 12% more than what I currently make as a 2nd yr SM - granted there was no salary increment last PY at Deloitte. Bonus and stock option structure more robust.
Would this be a good move? Have never worked in the industry and been 8 yrs with Deloitte and 3 more years as a consultant prior, so not sure what to expect. Those hiring are friends but not sure if the career trajectory or hustle mindset changes..

I’m applying for a role at my client. They opened a manager level position but I’m looking for a senior manager level exit. At what point in the interview process should I ask if they’re open to bringing me on as a senior manager? Early on, or if I already have an offer?

1. Work for boutique/low prestige consulting firm (e.g. Accenture Strategy) in sustainability consulting to gain hands-on experience

2. Work for MBB/T2 for 2-3 years in non-sustainabaility work and then leverage prestige

Objective: switch into impactful sustainability work (e.g. F100 sustainability position or manager/senior manager for sustainability consulting)

Have no mentor to consult for this and wanna get my career on track. Entry level experience.
