Currently sitting at 125k salary with no stress, I can control my own schedule, fully remote, free healthcare for myself and family and lots of opportunities to jump on different projects. I have an opportunity to go into a manger role in a different company making 150k with 25% bonus. Life is good right now with my family of 6. Would it be worth the risk for that jump in pay? At what point would you say it’s not worth the money to leave a good situation?

Wife works in a hospital and started WFH at start of Covid. A year ago they said come back in or we'll let you go, and she said she wouldn't (though not in writing). They have yet to replace her and now she's pregnant. The question is: do we tell them now or as late as possible?

Normally announcing this would help her, but I'm worried they'll state that they've been looking for a while and just now found someone. What's the move?

Looking to jump into a start-up company from a mid-size consultancy firm in Dallas. The start-up company has base level insurance and my firm has amazing insurance. After running the numbers I’d have to negotiate up to 18K to get them to break even. Is it typically in the tech start-up world to take a hit on insurance and pay/benefits? The new gig is full remote and a lot of possibilities. Just had a kid so trying to see if I should take the insurance hit and keep going. Any thoughts?

I have my wedding date set for December and my H1B visa expires in September so if I leave the country I will have to get my stamping done.
My company is not allowing remote for longer than two weeks and I am not sure how long the visa processing will take.
They also mentioned that since I am going for personal reasons they’re not obligated to help me out in case the processing takes longer

I recently accepted a new job offer a few weeks ago and start soon. It's not a well known company. It's a debt collector and is remote. I can work anywhere in the country. I recently got a job offer from JPMorgan as well and it is also remote, but I have to go wherever a hub and can visit family with vacation. Both companies pay almost the same - JPMorgan pays slightly more. I'm torn between the 2. The other company has a better title Senior InfoSec Analyst. JP's is Cyber Engineer. Any advice?

What is up with freshers asking for WFH? Half of the time they are pinging seniors even when basic answers are right there in the documents. It takes a year to become independent, but funny how some of them feel they are good enough to WFH. Anyone faced this with their juniors?
