My team on my project is remote (yay!). But it makes it hard to bond and I’d like to find a way for us to converse about something other than work. What, besides a zoom Happy Hour, is a good way to bond virtually?

Anyone else not have friends at work? How does it affect you? Joined large co in a newly-created VP-Legal position about 1 yr ago after 10+ years at regional small co (2 lawyers, everyone was in the same building-about 40 ppl; crap co, but had real friends). I now support entire country and I have zero interaction with people in my building (100+). 2 days nominally in office-but I do not work with anyone there. At all. Clients are great, but no “friends”-all on zoom. Lonely.

Listened to Salesforce earnings call. Sales and Service Cloud seems to still lead the revenue stream. A “lot of measured” decisions at client end. Guidance narrowed for Q3 and FY. Seems next few qtrs are going to see some slow downs.

Mark repeatedly talked about Slack everything and $10Bn buyback (21st Sep Investor day). Opex reduction was mainly due to reduced hiring and Real estate space releases. Forex related losses were highlighted.

Hey there! Can anyone out there recommend a way (app/platform/otherwise) to take notes inside a Zoom meeting that can be seen live by everyone, while another person is sharing content simultaneously? We had to switch our offsite meeting to virtual and trying to find a suitable solution. We tried the whiteboard feature today in a dry run and it didn’t work.

We have motion sensor lights in my office and the sensor is far from my desk. Consequently, if I'm on a long WebEx, the lights go out and it's embarrassing. The building won't change the sensor. Anyone find a solution for this (aside from standing up and moving, which would be very awkward)? I can't rearrange my office.

Any advice for making conversations on zoom go smoother? Always feel like I’m interrupting or that the conversation is super choppy but if I pause too long after saying something sometimes it’s just awkward and silent

So about quiet quitting, at another job I was in I felt I was getting more and more tacked onto my job and picking up the slack of everyone else. I told my boss that I was doing work that was in someone else’s job description and it would be nice if they could help me out by doing their job. He told me, “But you’re so much better at it.” Looking back, I think the whole team was quiet quitting and he was resting on me and so I real quit. What are ya’lls thoughts? Have you ever done it?

Our entire Sales team was fired by our CEO on a Microsoft Teams thread in front of 15% of the company. Granted the state the company is established in as well as the state I reside in (remote role) are "at will", is there anything legally to pursue? Can we consider "damages"? None of the sales team has received any formal paperwork and it's been a few days. Our emails, teams, Salesforce, have all been disconnected as we were given notice about our last day. Just looking for guidance.
