Hi! What’s the best software to use for internal communications. We are using Microsoft teams, signal, office 365 outlook email, it’s all a bit all over the place. Does anyone have a great suggestion of a software that we can use that’s much better than just using teams or signal.

I'm not quite sure about the wlb at zoom and am a bit concerned about security as well. I'll really appreciate your input.

I’m really struggling to pay attention in zoom meetings. I either end up surfing the internet or rearranging my desk or working on other tasks. I really want to just be present and listen to the presentation or meeting! UGH!! I try to ask relevant questions but I end up asking a question and then getting distracted my something else, then I’m worried if I ask another question or make a comment it will be about something I missed and everyone will know I wasn’t paying attention…

Anyone know how the Slack activity indicator works? Do I need to have it open on my phone to show up green?

Are there any good slack communities - free or paid - like off the ledger for finance and accounting folks?

How to deal with account people that just act as messengers and basically everything that client requests dumps on creative?
Right now some designers have to work until after midnight because the account team promised client to show new work tomorrow, without consulting with me first to see if it’s doable. They just send me a slack notification and meeting request.

Curious if folks have thoughts on government work. Specifically advisor vs litigation positions for the federal government. I can’t tell if I actually want to be done with court filings and advocacy or if I’m just exhausted and need a break. I’ve been working uninterrupted the entire pandemic and yes many colleagues have left my firm so I’ve had to pick up their slack.

Looking for ways to streamline Daily staffing/coverage Communication across multiple offices. I prefer to standardize something through Microsoft Teams since we already use that platform, but open to other free applications/tools.
The biggest struggle is each office being able to see “the bigger picture.” My staff (RNs and MAs) complains they are always covering for their home office and other offices and no one covers for them, but that’s not the case. Want them to see how other offices cover.

Anyone get sworn in via zoom still feel like they missed the opportunity to get sworn in in person? I was sworn in right at the start of the pandemic and feel like I missed a moment in my career. Anyone else feel this way or not care?

2. Is it weird if i reach out to the hiring manager informally on Skype and ask for a 10 min call to get more info on the role and his expectations before i apply?

How bridge-burny is it to send my resignation via email? I'm remote and my new-ish manager couldn't care less about me, which is why I'm leaving. The team is changing and I think he wants me gone. I dread talking to him, and I don't feel like I owe him anything, because he's shown me zero interest and zero respect. I don't think he's the type to be petty via bad reference. My email will be perfectly polite and gracious. I just can't stomach his phony bloviating over Zoom.

Have a few questions regarding IBM Joining, HR response is strangely lacking and so does in the slack(prejoin channels). Hoping can be cleared here..
a) I've been told virtual onboarding is no longer a thing.
How many days does in-person onboarding activities occur?
b) HR Informed,"After onboarding is complete, can get perm WFH based on project or extension of WFH as IBM is flexible"
Is this true? Can managers extend/grant remote for a month then let us transit to remote model?

Any funny stories during Teams/Zoom calls you've experienced? I go first: a client during a call started to loudly pe e and then flushed afterwards. There was a brief, awkward silence, and then all of us started to laugh out loud. No big deal. Things happen.
