Getting really tired of having to pick up the slack for an older, technology-challenged co-worker and then I’m the one that get chewed out by our boss because I don’t “coordinate” well enough. My work is always done, I double check things before I submit them. I’ve been at my job for 3 months while this guy has been there 6 months. I’m doing the job of three people while he can’t manage to do one. I snapped today and called his bs because he wanted to table another project.

Staying in the office just so I can have office background on 2:00pm Zoom meeting. Then, I’m outta here!!

Hi there! Anyone have advice for dealing with a toxic team? Management is very sparse and attrition is high.. I’m leaning towards finding a new job because I’m getting nightmares about Zoom calls and work emails.

I have a zoom interview today but I’m not wfh. What is the best way to do this? Should I go home? To a coffee shop? Stay at work? I realize I am likely overthinking this.

Recently I had a job interview at APCO in DC. The first interview was cancelled an hour before the interview was suppose to be held. I then rescheduled with the senior recruiter the following week via Zoom. The senior recruiter did not make it to the interview and her intern was trying to keep me on the phone for 15 mins out of the 30 minute interview apologizing on APCO’s behalf. The senior recruiter followed up with me and left a very insincere apology voicemail. I guess APCO is not for me.

Honest question to those affinity groups that have a designated month to celebrate - I’ll use the LGBTQ community as an example as we wrap up Pride month. How would you feel about your MD or Partner using a teams or zoom background with the rainbow flag in celebration of Pride if you know they are not part of the community?
