Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

$5.25 LESS PER HOUR ON AVERAGE FOR WOMEN WHO ARE OBESE

Really? I copied the ENTIRE ABSTRACT from the actual study, without making any edits. In a peer reviewed journal, the abstract is traditionally written by THE RESEARCHER. Hence, what I copied is directly a summary analysis by THE AUTHOR OF THE STUDY. Where did I misrepresent anything?
This is insane. Someone weight has nothing to do with how you perform a corporate job. If you are doing the job well you should get the promotions you deserve.
Interesting post operations. I feel like Americans are encouraged to be fat because of the lifestyle practices but then that shows lack of discipline in my opinion. Interestingly ozempic and how weight loss drugs work have made the science behind obesity reexamine itself. At the end of the day, no one is born to BE obese so you certainly have more control over your body than you think.
As for obese ladies being discriminated against it sucks but I would argue it is something that can be worked on to increase your chances unlike other unchangeable characteristics like height, age, skin color, etc.
Right well from a DEI perspective we should be embracing bodily diversity because other people's weight isn't really any of our business. Otherwise you are potentially eliminating some top talent. I don't think anybody is really encouraging people to be fat. But it is definitely being normalized in the sense that it isn't a bad thing.
There’s a bunch of good articles out how the body positivity community is not too happy about setbacks coming from the success of new weight loss drugs. https://www.thecut.com/article/weight-loss-drugs-ozempic-kids-childhood-obesity.html
As being overweight is more of a choice than ever before, I wonder how problems like this compound. Being bigger is not a legally protected class.
We don’t need more protected classes 💀 we just need companies to hire the best people for the job.
