Personal finance book recommendations?
Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

Secure your bag I wouldn’t worry about neighbors if you’re moving anyways
I sold my house to Opendoor this April and couldn’t be happier. They offered me 40k over what my realtor told me I could get.
Also when you talk to them tell them you got offers from other i buyers and try to negotiate they’re offer higher! They are very flexible you just have to make it seem like you’re unsure and are getting more money somewhere else
Please don’t for the sake of your neighbors. They hire the shoddiest workers to “fix” things before reselling for more than they paid you.
I had a great experience with Open Door about 3 years ago. They made an offer for my house, inspected it (4 inspections: General, roofing, HVAC and pest) and wanted no repairs done. I picked a closing date and they sent a mobile closer and I signed the papers at my kitchen table. I was funded the same day. You can get an offer at no obligation and back out at any time when I worked with them.
This is one of the sketchy things that companies like open door do. It’s great for the person selling the house but it ups the value of the homes in the area artificially so everybody in that business benefits. Granted the homeowner benefits but other buyers don’t.
