By no means did I expect anyone to throw me a "sprinkle" shower for second baby, but I did think certain people may buy a little something for new baby.

I'm one month away and just received a gift from a not-close coworker, and that's literally the only thing anyone has gotten us. Nothing from family, nothing from close friends... no small gift like a baby board book or baby blanket... nada.

Hi all! I’m applying to NYU tax llm and I’m pretty confident I can get in,but it’s unlikely I’ll receive a scholarship. I’m working at a non big4 consulting firm for about 1.5yrs now, doing mainly international with some M&A exposure. I want to do llm because I still want to shoot for biglaw. I have a small kid so it’ll be hard to do the program part time. Should I quit my current job and enroll full time? Meaning lose 1yr salary and taking on a job security risk. TIA!

Hi everyone, realizing my career may be incompatible with my needs at home (I have a school age child with special needs). Any moms/dads find any companies or jobs in the UX field that are part time? I am wondering if it’s possible to stay in this field or if I need to take a step back and figure out something new. What has worked for any of the working moms/dads out there. I need to be free from 2pm onwards.

I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?

Returned from maternity leave, I was offered a Revenue Operations Project Manager. I was given a 4% raise (next to nothing), I was asked to sign the paperwork upon my return which was strange. On day 1, got to know almost 4% raise was given to the entire company as compensation adjustment due to inflammation. I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

Mom of two here (21 month old and 5 month old) who is starting to consider having a third. I am in my late 30’s and my doctor just recommended I start trying at 6 months postpartum. I am thinking I want to start closer to 8-10 months postpartum but have no idea what to expect with a third. Is anyone in a similar situation? Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?
