Due to my stupidity + an expired CD from grandparents, I have over 140k in savings in a MCOL city. No debt. Maxed out roth IRA. Plan to max out roth 401k again. My new employer doesn't have an HSA.

My situation will change very soon:
- 30% higher salary
- Rent payments (lived w/parents up to now)
- Payments for ring + tiny wedding
- Future spouse is recruiting but currently unemployed (I'll pay her insurance)

Savings are way too much but unsure what's next. Any tax advantaged accounts left?

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂

Living in NJ and may be able to choose NYC as my home office. People who live in NJ can choose NJ / NYC office, which one did you choose?

NJ office: no NYC tax, don't have to file 2 state return. Live in NJ so auto assigned to NJ office currently.

NYC office: NYC tax on paycheck, easier commute, possibly higher pay?

Can someone help me with this? I had a low utilization since pandemic, I.e., ~sub 5%, but never missed any payments. Would credit score be impacted if only one line of credit with a low utilization?

Too few accounts currently paid as agreed
FICO®

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.
